Wednesday Worthy

Anxiety, some life worries and frustration are dogging me this week, but I am refuse to let them drag me down too much. Although my stomach is a bit more susceptible, but we won’t talk about that :-)

The good news is I sent book one, now titled Savaged Dreams, off to my editor! I really am happy about that as I’m in desperate need of constructive, editorial feedback. It’ll be a few weeks which is fine as I really needed to step away from that book for a bit. I was going over, over and over the manuscript until I realized I had crossed over into slightly obsessive territory.

“SLIGHTLY??” Wizard shouts. “I had to threaten to take away your coffee, wine and chocolate to get you to hit send!!!”

Can you all see me rolling my eyes? I’m not that bad! And if Wizard says one more word, I will hide his jelly beans where he will never find them.

Okay, so now that Wizard has silently left my office, we can get down to business! Forget all our pressures and troubles to answer this one question:

Sexy chef with naked body cooking or decorating raw meat with rosemary in the restaurant kitchen

Do you think a man who cooks is worthy?

Ha! He isn’t cooking! He definitely has someone running around with a plate and some grilling tongs for him!
I am finishing my first draft on the girl heroine’s journey in sandplay (no, not “heroin” lol) to send to the editor and I am so not ready to let it out of sight. Arggghhhh. Scary.
    I love your posts & sharing…gratitude ?????

There seems to be something in the air. You’re the third writer I know who’s mentioned being blue or anxious this week. (Four if you count me.) I’m kicking my own butt today to get myself out of it, but it’s like trying to extricate oneself from a puddle of molasses. Bleh.

So glad you got Savaged Dreams off to the editor. Tell Wizard to hush. No commentary from the peanut gallery. =op

I’m too much of a control freak in the kitchen to let a man cook. Hubs gets the kitchen once a year and even then, I really have to resist ‘helping’. He doesn’t need my help – he does an amazing Thanksgiving dinner all by himself – but I can’t seem to stop.

I’m #5 on the meh train.

Yay on SAVAGED DREAMS. LOVE the title!!! Step away from it and find something fun to work on until it comes back. I wish there was a way to embed photos. I have a perfect LOL for your situation. ;)

And yes, this guy came and fixed “Thanksgiving dinner” for me and my fans on my FB readers page. I do love a man who knows how to…uhm…never mind. My mind keeps going straight to the gutter. Happy Hump Day!

Roz, and if he is cooking, I highly recommend a shirt. Splatter burns hurt :-)

Congrats on finishing the first draft!! That’s a huge achievement for every single book we write. I know how hard it is to let go and send it to the editor–but this is probably the time you really need his or her feedback. You can do it!

And thank you for saying that! I love sharing the truth of writing, but it’s not always pretty and so I try to keep my posts balanced. I am grateful to do a job I love…but depression, anxiety and fear are a part of it.

Keep my updated on your progress!

B.E., You’re still struggling too? I’m sorry, it’s sucks. But in many ways, it’s part of the process.

Oh! I’m reading Accidental Death. I’m about half way through. I don’t read many mysteries lately, so it’s a really fresh change. I really have no idea who the killer is yet :-)

LOL on control freak in the kitchen! I’m working on it and getting batter. The kids and their girls come over and cook sometimes and I get out of their way. But man, I am impressed your husband does T-day dinner!!

Silver, I’m curious about the photo! I’m trying to step away here and there like going to the gym, running errands or a little reading. I’ll figure it out…or find a crit partner to help.

We keep finding the same guys, LOL! But there are a limited selection of stock photos.

Hope everything is going well on your end!

I really love you two :). Wizard and you play off each other so well. Those threats he threw out there would have worked on me too :).

Yes, this guy works for me. In fact, I love rosemary on my steak and I’ll have it medium rare please ;).

    Have a really great evening.

Viki, Wizard is very patient with my obsessiveness over the books, mostly because he’s the same way on his projects :-)

I need to try rosemary on my steak, but I’m medium-well.

You have a great evening too!
