Weekend Roundup!

My weekend was frantically working on the same first chapter over and over in my revision of Savaged Dreams. I **might** have gotten closer, I just sent it off to my critique partner and we’ll see. It has to be good, and the rest of the revision should fall in line much more easily. I also cleaned…and NOT just because Wizard came in the house and put the business card of a housecleaning service on the fridge. But I was going to clean anyway. Really!! :-) Seriously, he took the card from someone he met in the neighborhood because, he said, he’s been thinking of hiring someone for a couple months to take pressure off me. I was touched by that, since he already helps out quite a bit himself too.

But I still cleaned, LOL! Not sure if we’ll actually hire someone, I’m too cheap, and also, not wealthy.

In other news, the cover and title for Ethan and Ana’s novella is done! I’m pretty happy. I think we’ll do a reveal in my newsletter soon.

So that’s my weekend, how was yours?

Yay for cover reveals! Yay for maybe getting closer? Your CP is good. She’ll help figure it out. :D I got my thorny timeline figured out with very little revision but now I need to move on. I want this puppy done before I leave for San Diego.

That said, I was a lump Saturday. I repotted a plant that had needed it for like…six years. 8-O I took a 3 1/2 hour nap. I listened to a book. I…avoided writing like crazy. Sunday wasn’t much better. Today? Yeah, really gotta get off the internet and work. Laterz!

Oh, and Wiz is made of awesome. Just sayin’… :D

Silver, the official word from my CP is the chapter is light years better now. So YAY!

Great news that you figured out the timeline issue. I’m right there with you on needing to get projects done before RWA conference.

Your potted plant must be so happy :-) You needed a break so considered the weekend a mental health holiday.

Hope we both get a lot done today!

Yes, great news from your critique partner on the first chapter of Savaged Dreams re-work. You must feel quiet relieved :). We knew you’d get it worked out ;).

I’m excited for Ethan/Ana’s cover. When do you think we’ll get a look?

Wizard’s a great guy. I’d kill to get someone in just once a year to deep clean with products we every day person can’t get our hands on. But like you, I would have been cleaning too ;). I got a little done this weekend but not nearly what I planned. Oh well.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Viki, thanks on the chapter, and you’re right, I’m relieved and moving forward.

As soon as I firm up a release date in October, I’ll get a newsletter out. Probably a week or two.

Oh I know what you mean on deep cleaning! It’s a great idea. But honestly, I doubt we’ll hire someone when we can do it ourselves. There’s only the two of us here now, and Wizard picks up after himself so it’s not that hard.

Hope you have a great week too!

Yay for getting it done enough to send to the CP and yay for it being loads better! LOL about the cleaning. I could never use a service. The guilt of not cleaning my house myself would drown me. Even if we could ever afford something like that. Maybe if I win the MegaMillions, I’ll reconsider. ROFL

I was a toad all weekend. Today I made zucchini bread (well, squash bread really, since I used summer squash and zucchini). Tomorrow I plan on fishing. =o)

B.E., the bread sounds so good! I love zucchini bread.

Kind how I feel about a service to clean my house. I only had it done one time and that was when my sister arranged it right after my mom passed away. But there are only so many hours in a day so I may look into it.

    Have a good day fishing!
