Weekend Roundup

I had a good weekend finishing up my embarrassingly long birthday celebration :-) Saturday CPA Boy, his wife (Special K) and their niece and nephew came out for marathon swimming and cupcakes. I shared this on one of my FB pages, but I’m going to be it here too. Special K’s amazing niece made this fresh flower arrangement for me:

They are so gorgeous! And so is Trisha (pictured on the left) :-)  I was so touched and impressed.

Sunday I worked, but took a break to see Youngest Son, his girlfriend and Roxy (their dog). And with that all the celebrating is done! Now I just have to stop eating crap and I’m hitting the gym today.

I’m really excited to tell you guy that I have covers for the Savaged Trilogy! I met with my cover designer at RWA Conference in San Diego, and we discussed all three covers, plus a logo for the band and series. I just got the final versions on Friday and I’m thrilled! (So is Wizard who somehow got involved in the process and loves the covers, especially the one for the first book, Savaged Dreams). I can’t share them yet, I have to finish this revision and get everything back on track. But I’m finally moving along!

It’s a relief to have so many other things cleared up so I can work again. I’ll keep you all updated.

Now it’s your turn, how was your weekend?

Awwww. Gorgeous arrangement and what a beautiful young lady! I’m all about celebrating the good times! Especially since you have much to celebrate. :)

I read a lot, spent time with Lawyer Guy, plotted a new book, and did some freaking out (after some questions/discussions) that has me rewriting some Kindle World stories. Ah well.

Its a new week. I have coffee. I am writer. Hear me roar! ;)

Silver, she is a beautiful young lady, much like her aunt (CPA Boy’s wife).

Hope you had a great anniversary!

Ugh on the freaking out. It’s a painful desperate feeling. But you have this, you’ll use the comments/questions to make that book bold and beautiful. Keep going!

What a beautiful arrangement. She has a nice talent there. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Remember it’s perfectly okay to celebrate your birthday as long as you wish. My 50th year we celebrated all month because of all the discounts I received to various places.

So what was your birthday cake? I’m still thinking of making the mocha pie that no one will eat but me ;) or maybe a lemon cake they will eat :).

Can’t wait to see the covers. I love how you tease us ;).

The weekend was kind of calm. Hubs has hurt a disk in his upper back again. Trying to get him to take pain meds is like pulling teeth – men!

    Have a wonderful week :).

Ugh, where did the day go? Anyway, I’m here finally. So happy you had an awesome birthday weekend. Yeah for pretty flowers and pretty, talented niece-in-laws. I can’t wait to see your new cover!

I’ve been watching the Olympics and being a toad. Did some fishing, but didn’t catch any keepers. I cooked all our keepers on Friday and those turned out yummy, so I want to catch more. LOL

And now, I really have to get to work. Bleh. I’d rather play.

Viki, I would love your mocha pie! And you should get what YOU want for your birthday! You deserve a very special birthday month every year :-)

This year, was a bit different, I had cupcakes from an awesome bakery from Middle son and girlfriend, Chocolate covers strawberries on my birthday from CPA Boy and Special K, a Cheesecake factory slice of cake a day later,a and more cupcakes this weekend. I didn’t miss out, LOL!

On no on your poor hubs! I’m so sorry. I hope he listens to you and takes the meds. Managing pain is tricky, he really needs to follow your advice.

Hope your kitty had a great birthday today!

B.E., I never know where the days go! And thanks of the flowers.

The Olympics are fun to watch and you’ve been working so hard, you probably needed the break. Hope the bigger (tastier, LOL) fish are biting next time you go out!

Sorry for the cover tease :-( I’m excited, but I need to get this revision done before I reveal anything. Work first! Although like you, I’d much rather play than work :-P
