One more week! If all goes as planned, my novella SAVAGED SURRENDER will be up the week of October 24th! I’m trying to have it by Monday, but it’s going to depend on when I get the formatting back and if there are any delays with the vendors.
I’m excited now! I flirted with changing the title to One Good Thing, as the fits the books really well. But the book is also loosely connected to my new Savaged Series (book one coming soon, I hope!) so I’m going to stick with the original title. At least that’s my plan as I’m typing this blog 
Now onto the weekend. Saturday was a ton of work, and then it was playtime. First we went to oldest son’s to celebrate Special K’s birthday, played with their three dogs, Cookie, Corky and Max, then out to dinner with about eight of us. After that, we headed to middle son’s to meet his, and his girlfriend’s baby boy puppy, Jett. This was on my FB but I’ll put it here too. He’s a sweetheart! (That’s what I look like after getting up at 5:30 to work, and it’s about 9:00 pm when this pic was taken.)
This dog is such a cuddle bug!
Sunday, my girlfriend had to cancel lunch, and while I was disappointed, it was probably best for me. We’ll try to catch up next weekend.

PUPPY!! OMG, he’s so cute. (Oh, and you look good, too.) SQUEE for Savaged Surrender! I can’t wait.
The weekend was quiet. I did a thing to my neck/back yesterday which is a pain in my butt. I ain’t got time for no things. Went fishing, caught nothing. Read a bunch. Made ‘To Die For Coffee Cake’, chicken soup, and did a fish fry last night. Mmm, bluegills. Today, errands and then sitting somewhere quiet until this twingy thing goes away.

Cuteness overload! Jett is awesomesauce! And what a wonderful time on Saturday! I finished up one project and now I’m on to the proposal for RDR#6. Good thing I love what I do! LOL

I’m so sorry about your neck/back. I hope you’re taking it easy with ice and heat, and if it doesn’t hurt, a few light stretches. The hard thing about neck and back issues is you can’t get away from it. Stay off the computer for a bit if you can. (I know you weren’t asking advice, it’s my Mom Gene, LOL!)
The coffee cake sounds yummy.

He is so cute. I’m sure middle son was keeping a close eye on you ;). By the way, you look great. The happiness of puppy love can wipe out exhaustion so fast ;).
Sorry about your friend on Sunday but you made good use of the day and you’ll get together next week – a win win.
I spent the weekend doing laundry and going to an 80th surprise birthday party. It was fantastic. Her son can in from Portland and she didn’t know it. He called her and came up behind her while saying “can you hear me now?” into the phone. When she saw him she dropped and phone and he had to catch her. It was so sweet.

Viki, you’re so right, seeing the kids and playing with Jett, plus oldest son’s dogs, wiped out my exhaustion. I slept six hours that night
So glad your washing machine is finally working. Hopefully you won’t have any more problems.
That’s so sweet on the 80th birthday party! I love that story.
