Weekend Roundup

Yep there was a weekend, and I took most of it off from writing. That part was awesome! I even had time to read a whole book :-)

So Friday my editor got back to me on the synopsis for books two and three in the Savaged Trilogy, and she was overall pleased with them. She only found four issue, three of them easily fixable, and one to think about at the end of the last book. Now I’m so glad I took the time to plot these two books out in synopsis format! It’s going to really help me write them.

Saturday I decided to tackle some clothes shopping. I have two words for that idea Epic Fail. I spent hours coming a mall and an outlet center and just couldn’t find anything, or if I did find something, then they didn’t have my size. But I got home in the afternoon, finished up a little bit of work, dived into reading a book, and soon I no longer cared about my failed shopping attempt.

Sunday we went to an early Thanksgiving at Wizard’s brother’s house and had a great time visiting with family.

How was your weekend?

Yay! You’ve been kicking butt all year, it was time for a break. Awesome editor news. Go you! Sorry about the clothes shopping experience, but at least you read a good book and forgot about it for a while. =o)

I read a whole book, too! Reading had been kind of slumpy this month. Other than that, I did some woods work – cutting down some small prolific trees to let a couple other trees get more resources, cutting up some deadfall. I went fishing yesterday afternoon, but that was a bust. Football, TV, etc. The usual. I did get some good words out last night. I have 10 days to finish this book or miss my own deadline and let myself down, so I better get crackin’. =o)

B.E. I’m really happy about the synopses. I hate writing them like most authors, but it helped me nail down emotional turning points which is key for me.

Ya on reading a book! It seems a lot of us have been in a reading slump. Great news on getting so much done, but sorry about the fishing.

Now go, go, go! on writing to hit your 10 day deadline!

I’m slow getting around today. Between RL and trying to set up stuff for a book release tomorrow and being behind on my deadline and…and…and… I think I just gave myself a headache.

Awesome news on the editorial side! And for the mini-vacation. I hate shopping for clothes. I have decent luck at Dress Barn. Don’t know if those are thing out your way. Sadly, the last really cute thing I bought came from Cracker Barrel. Don’t laugh…

I want to fall into a book and get lost. I’ve started and stopped like six books in the last week. Not even my normal “chicken soup rereads” are working. :P

It’s Monday. I need to hit the post office and the grocery store and it’s almost noon and I haven’t accomplished a thing except fight my computer and other BS stuffs. Ah well!

Wonderful news on the SAVAGED series. You are were very smart :).

How I feel your pain on shopping for clothes. Sometimes I think I must have a body like no other human since nothing ever fits ;). Do you find that if it fits it’s made for a teen? That happens to me quiet a bit. All my short are really short because they’re from the teen department ;).

Glad you had a nice time at Wizard’s brother’s house. Did you bake anything? If so what?

I’m making my super spicy pumpkin pie for our Friday family meal (two of the guys can’t be at our place on Thursday). Hubs thinks he should be able to take sliver of it on Thursday after our turkey dinner- not happening ;).

    Are you hosting Thanksgiving dinner?

I hope you’re having a very nice start to the week :)!

Silver, it’s overwhelming right? I hope you get a breather.

I sometimes have luck at Dress Barn too. The one at my outlet center didn’t have my size in anything (because Medium is so…unusual???) But there’s another one I might try. I hate shopping.

I did the exact same things with trying to read books for two weeks. Then I found one by Cherise Sinclair I was able to get into.

    Hope your day improved!

    Viki, thanks!

Sometimes teen clothes fit me, but my body is changing and not in a way retailers support, LOL! You’re more fit than I am, which helps a little bit, but not always. I can find dresses pretty easy, but it’s pants and shirts I have trouble with.

For yesterday, I just made deviled eggs. Those are easy and popular. T-day is at CPA Boy and Special K’s which I’m excited about. I’m making a plain pumpkin and apple pie.

You’re spicy pumpkin pie sounds awesome!! How are you going to keep hubs out of it??

Hope your arm is healing and you’re having a good Monday.
