Weekend Roundup

It was another busy weekend. Saturday I baked and wrapped and I’m nearly finished. I just have one  more gift to pick up, but man I was tired! Last night, we had a small family party and didn’t get home until really late for us–I’m writing this post just before midnight so it’s a pretty quick post. But it was fun and worth missing a little sleep.

And just a heads up, tomorrow, December 20th the 1,001 Dark Nights Bundle Eight is released, and I’m thrilled that my novella, SAVAGED SURRENDER is in there too! The lineup of authors are New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors Christopher Rice, Melissa Foster, Rebecca Zanetti, Liliana Hart, and two “Discovery” authors of myself (Jennifer Lyon) and Riley Hart.

*ahem* Aren’t you a USA Today best selling author? *Humpf* Discovery? Introduction? Seriously? We all know who you are! ;)

Okay, yeah, pretty cool to be in a bundle with those names.

I still have to wrap and bake but all the celebrations are elsewhere so no cleaning or extra decorating so that’s a yay! I just wish my writing was coming as fast as Christmas! Ah well… Dear Santa, can you send me a new Muse? ;)

Okay, break time over. At least it’s so cold outside I’m not distracted by wanting to get in the car and go out…

Silver, Yes I’m a USA Today Bestselling Author under my Apodaca name, even though my Lyon name outsold my Apodaca name substantially…and…are we confused yet? I just rolled with it when it was presented to me :-)

I hope you get a faster muse, and I want one of those too!

    Stay warm and Happy Monday!

Yum on your cookies. I have the mocha recipe but have to find that tart one. I think I’m going to try it in lime instead of lemon just to shake things up a bit.

Love the pups photos with their toys :).

Sure hope you can make up the sleep you lost but we kind of know better ;).

Sat. middle son drove me back to NY for my mom’s birthday luncheon. We all had a nice time. The roads were nasty around Buffalo on the way in and super rainy in PA and OH on the way home. Poor kid was too tired to drive another 2 hours back and forth to the hubs family party yesterday. I went but being in a car for 12 of 34 hours was really bad on my hips. Getting old stinks :(.

I’m still waiting on the delivery of three gifts that are to arrive tomorrow and then I will wrap :).

    Have a wonderful afternoon :)!

Viki, I code the links to the recipes in the titles above the pictures, so you should be able to click on the one you want to find and it’ll take you there.

    Thanks on the pups!

Wow that’s a lot of driving! Your son’s is awesome for taking you to your moms, and driving in the rain and difficult conditions. I can see why he wasn’t up to the second trip to your hubby’s side yesterday. Hope you can stretch your hips out today and feel better!

Hope your deliveries arrive soon and you can wrap and forget about them.

    Have a good night!

Not sure how I missed this yesterday. Ugh.

The cookies look awesome! Yay for having fun at your holiday party! Yay for being nearly done for Christmas!

Everything was pretty quiet for us over the weekend. We got hit with a cold snap that kept me indoors for the duration. I read a lot. Watched TV a lot. The usual.

B.E., That cold snap hit a lot of people. It was even cold (for us!) here. I don’t know how you all do it, I’m too much of a California girl to handle Real Weather :-)

Christmas is almost here and I can’t believe it. A second ago, it was Thanksgiving. When did I blink?

Hope you get a break from the cold snap!
