Weekend Roundup

Another quiet work weekend. I was able to finish my editorial pass on the scanned copy The Sex on the Beach Book Club and send that off to the copy editor. I was doing that edit at night around taking care of Wizard, so I’m very happy to have that done and in production. In the days I’m writing Savage Vows, which is suddenly going well. Shhhh, I don’t want to jinx that by talking about it.

Then yesterday I decided to take a couple of hours off writing to work on the Sex on the Beach Book Club blurb (that’s the back cover copy). I ended up spending all day on and I’m still not happy. I need to set it aside…or on fire…or something. Yep, definitely time to step away, LOL!

Otherwise,  I know yesterday was the Superbowl, but I’m knee-deep in work and ignoring it. Oh except I made Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks with salad for dinner. There’s nothing healthy about those pizza sticks but they’re fun and Wizard loved them!

How was your weekend?

Yay for getting that pass done and off, and yay for words flowing. (I know… shhhh) Sorry your blurb isn’t working out for you. Blurbing sucks. You can send what you have over to me if you want to. Another set of eyes never hurts. Yeah, we didn’t watch the Super Bowl either, but I did make snacks for dinner, which is the best part anyway.

I got some writing done Saturday on Wish Hits the Fan. Then yesterday I started my taxes and ran errands. After the errands, I took the rest of the day off. (I’ll finish the taxes today.) Hubs and I got cabin fever, so we took a drive. We parked and walked the lake for a while. It was nice. Oh, and I found a piece of wood that a beaver had munched to points on either end with teeth marks all over it, so I brought it home. It’s really cool. I mean, if you’re me. LOL

Yes. Send the blurb to B.E. She is a blurb goddess! Seriously!!! And yay for getting your WIPs in a row. So to speak. ;)

I basically ignored the computer for the weekend but for brief forays. We had a few family situations that had to be dealt with. I’m paying for that today. Hard to get back in the saddle, as they say.

Hang in there, Jen! And B.E., enjoy the next two days of warm weather. ;)

B.E., thank you for the offer!! I may take you up on it a bit later or tomorrow after I take another run at it. I need to define exactly what I want this blurb to do.

    Yay for snacks :-)

Taxes are not a happy subject, especially as a sole proprietor. Hope you can get yours done as quick and painlessly as possible. Wizard does ours, but I’m waiting for a 1099 so he can get started when he feels up to it.

Your Beaver Chewed Wood cracks me up. Now that’s not something you buy at Target–I might put that on my bookshelf if I found it :-)

Glad you had a nice weekend and hope you’re having a good Monday!

Silver, I’m not sure their in a row, but I’m plugging away as best I can.

Uh oh on family situation. I hope everything is okay. Hopefully you’re typing away now with no worries hanging over you.

    Have a great Monday!

So happy that you’re getting back into thew flow on writing. It shows how much Wizard is progressing. Such good news.

Putting the blurb aside for a while is smart after you spent all those hours working on it and not being happy. I’m sure it will come to you when you least expect it. I’m still in awe of you authors, I could never write a blurb.

Having read your FB post you have picked up many chores that Wizard normally does. You must be glowing inside at the accomplishments. I bet Wizard is quite proud as well :).

I hope you’re feeling good this afternoon. I’m ready to crash ;).

    Have a really good evening!

Viki, yep it’s been great to have time to focus on writing because Wizard is doing better.

I was really happy about moving the yard :-) Stuff like taking care of the pool I’ve done in the past (before he retired) so I know how to do 95% of it. And thanks, I do feel good being able to do these things and ease his worry. He does the same for me when I’m not well.

Is your PT helping your arm at all? Oh wait, is it PT or a chiropractor?

Hope you have a great night!
