Weekend Roundup

I may have overdone it a little after my epidural procedure. Friday I cleaned a bit, then Saturday was a marathon long day with a wedding nearly 2 1/2 hours away from us. But the wedding was beautiful, my niece looking like a magical Disney princess, and she married a man who truly loves her. We are thrilled for her, and very proud of them. We also got to see out-of-state family, including a great-nephew. It was joyous on so many levels.

Maggie survived her doggy sleepover. We missed her, but boy, am I grateful we have a place to leave her where she’s safe and cared for. She gets along with the other dogs, but doesn’t really engage in play. That’s fine too.

Sunday I was sore and exhausted from going nonstop after the epidural (which, unsurprisingly, swelled and bruised at the injection site), so I was forced to take it easy for a day. I suspect today will be much better and I’ll be back to writing and causing trouble:-)

That was my weekend, how was yours?

Here’s me clicking my tongue at you – tsk tsk tsk. ;o) Seriously, though, I’m glad you had a good time at the wedding. Yay for Maggie! What a good girl. Here’s hoping your day off yesterday makes everything better today.

Would you believe we had thunderstorms and tornado watches last night? Weird. Especially considering that this time last week we were digging out from the snow. Derp. Other than that, it was a gorgeous weekend. I got outside some. Went fishing to no avail, but it was lovely and I saw lots of birds, so it’s all good. Read some. Edited not enough. This week really needs to be a push toward the finish line.

I’ll shake my mother finger while B.E. is tsking you. I do know how it goes, though. When you’ve been hurting/and or sick for so long and suddenly, you feel good? Yeah. Easy to overdo. Just don’t do it again!

I pretty much vegged for the weekend. Did some work. Did a little cleaning. Read. Listened to a book. Same ol’ same ol’.

    B.E., LOL I’ve been chastised :-)

Wow you’re having some wild weather! Glad you enjoyed your weekend and hope you have a productive week!

Silver, I just want to be better. The epidural is a process, and the first one worked a little bit but not as much as I’d hoped. But I’m not giving up, we’ll keep working on it.

Same ol’ sounds relaxing and necessary to recharge. Hope you’re having a good Monday!

As much as I’d like to follow Silver and B.E. and chastise you for over doing it, I’d be a hypocrite ;). I’m glad you did take it easy yesterday to recoup. I hope that the process builds upon itself and you get a little better with each treatment.

Happy to hear the wedding was beautiful. Wouldn’t expect any thing less ;).

Maggie might come around to engaging other dogs after a few more visits. She has come a long way in a short period of time.

Harrison was perfect at dinner Saturday night. A very good boy.

    Have a great afternoon!

Viki, thanks and yeah, I know you’d have over done it too :-) I’m a bit better today and the shots/treatments narrowed the scope of pain area, so that’s something.

Maggie has come a long ways, but I’ve yet to see her play with other dogs, except for a tiny bit with Jett once. We’ll see how she does. As long as she’s not fighting or causing trouble, she can just hang out too.

I have to say, I’m really impressed with Harrison! Dinner is often the hardest time for babies. What a great experience for you all. He’s obviously a very special little baby (I’m also happy for his mom, this is good for her too!)

Hope you’re having a good start to your week.
