Weekend Roundup

I’ve hit the mid turning point of the book, and it feel like I’m in quicksand. This is normal, and I must keep going. I’m walking around the house repeating that to myself.

So…the weekend. Friday afternoon I took Maggie to the dog park, and she met two new friends. It’s the first time I’ve let her socialize off leash with dogs in the park, and she did pretty well. They were really nice dogs too which helped a lot. I hoping to do that more for her.

Saturday it rained and I worked. Sunday it cleared up and I worked some more (until I can’t with my nerve stuff).

I’m boring, but I don’t care right now. I’m trying to write when I can, and just keep going! And guys, it’s only about two more weekends until ETA on our grand baby!! I won’t be done with the book by then, but I’ll just work around the Big Arrival. I don’t even have the words to describe how excited we are!

How was your weekend?

You can do this! Yay for Maggie making new friends. And for you getting some work done. I don’t think I’ve ever found you boring. So there. =op. Yay for the grandbaby’s approaching arrival!

My weekend was boring. Except for exercising and yard work, I pretty much sat around mentally berating myself for not editing. Which didn’t actually help kick me in the pants to get me editing. Wasted weekend. Bleh.

You always find a way out of the quicksand. I’m shaking my pompoms for you! And Maggie is such a good girl. So glad she’s making friends! And GRANDBABY! Yay! I guarantee you’ll fall head over heels the moment you see the little bundle of joy!

I finished the first draft of Montana Moon. I think. I’d planned a sexy scene after the emotional black moment but when I got there, it felt…gratuitous somehow. So I didn’t write it. We’ll see what happens after I read it all the way through. And see what my betas and editor say. Still. It’s done and hopefully out the door this evening or in the morning.

Too bad my brain is still reeling from the time change. It doesn’t kick into gear based on the what the clock says. :P

Little one is coming real soon :)! You are going to be so busy with the grand baby and loving every minute.

Don’t fret about the book. Walking around and talking it out will get you through the muck. It’s all part of the “process” ;).

I’m glad the swelling is going down and the pain is getting better. You have one more shot, right?

Maggie is an amazing pup and you know it’s because you and Wizard care enough to work with her. She has come so far. It’s wonderful that she made friends :).

Have a great week and pick up a few swaddles for the baby https://www.summerinfant.com/brands/swaddleme.

B.E., I’m so happy you haven’t found me boring since I feel boring. Today was a plot day, really just thinking about how I want to restructure the second half of the book and a good day :-)

Berating yourself doesn’t help–says the woman who blames herself all the time. I really think you just need time off. You’ll get back into the editing chair!

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Silver, I hope you’re right about the quicksand. I just let myself think and plot today. I know you’re right about a grandbaby!

Maggie is my best friend. It’s so cliche to say, but she really is.

CONGRATS on finishing MM!!! I’m so happy for you and impressed! I know exactly what you mean about the planned scene feeling gratuitous. It sounds like you captured all the emotional turning points and resolutions and don’t need that last sex scene. I’ve had that happen. I’m really pleased you got it done!

Sorry about the time change reeling. I’ve adjusted faster than I expected, no idea why. I was dreading it!

Viki, I’m sure you’re right about Grandbaby. We live farther away than I’d like, but that’s life. We’ll work it out. Special K is feeling well (just normal tired).

We will see on the shots. I see the pain doctor Wednesday. She’ll probably do more trigger points and we’ll evaluate where I am. It’s narrowed the pain area and helped, but hasn’t erased the pain. A definite improvement though. How is your shoulder pain?

We’re were so lucky to find Maggie!

Thank you for the link! Grandbaby shopping is the best :-)

Hope you’re have a really good week.
