Weekend Roundup

Happy July! Can you believe it? July!!! How is this possible?

The picnic on Saturday was a lot of fun! Baby Slayer was the hit of the party (it was a work picnic for his dad and uncle) and Maggie was a really good girl. She did well with meeting new people and dogs. I think she had a crush on one little dog :-)

FYI I was NOT a baby hog! I waited a whole 20 minutes before I pounced on, I mean asked CPA Boy to hand over my grandson.  But not long after that, Youngest Son was completely unreasonable and demanded Uncle Time with Baby Slayer. Since we were in public, and it was his work picnic, I was sort of forced shamed into handing over Baby Slayer gracefully :-) Okay I really am kidding. I didn’t hog Baby Slayer, I have no reason to since his mom and dad give us so much access to him anytime we want. It’s pretty amazing.

I also reworked the troublesome parts of the book and hope I can finally move forward.  And I have an MRI of my cervical spine on Thursday. This is important to determine our next step in the endless saga. The last set of shots helped for a couple weeks, but is wearing off.

Okay that’s my weekend, how was yours?

Yeah, not sure how July crept up on me so fast. So glad you had fun at the picnic and weren’t hogging Baby Slayer. It’s awesome that you get so much time with him. Yay for moving forward! Fingers crossed for your MRI.

I spent most of the weekend inside, hiding from the heat and the bugs. Did a bunch of reading. Got my edits back, but I didn’t touch them yet. Those first few pages are bleeding and it’s kind of daunting, but I can do it. Today. Definitely today. On the upside, my editor was squeeing over how awesome she thinks this book is. Let’s hope readers feel the same way.

Ha ha on pouncing to get Baby Slayer :). The kids are really great about sharing him with everyone. It was a given he would be the hit of the picnic, he’s so darn cute ;). Glad Maggie had fun and a possible boyfriend too.

Good job with getting through that rough spot with the book.

I’ll be thinking of you Thursday and wishing all goes well with the MRI and you get some answers.

We had dinner with Harrison and his parents Sat. He was so much. He couldn’t get enough of all the other people at the restaurant.

Got my hair done today. Feels SO good :).

    Have a great week.

I’m waaaay late today. Life and family time for the weekend, including lunch at our fav Mexican restaurant then 4th of July float shopping/planning. Green Giant was cute, as always. Finished up edits on NIGHT FALL and sent the MS out. Got beta copy back this afternoon and will set to work on it soonly. Woke up to Amazon deleting all the Kindle World books and much panic so I spent the day signing the first contract and revising 3 of the KW books in one world. They’re off to the new publishing company set up by that author. About the time I finished the last one, the ‘zon had restored the books, minus rankings and with a loss of a day’s sales. Grrrr.

Float building tomorrow night, parade on Wednesday, edits, fixing KW books, and trying to get new words written in-between life.

Also, hot! Everyone have a great week!

B.E., thanks it was a nice weekend, and these days, I work hard to stay focused on positive things. I won’t let the negative drag me down.

The heat you guys are enduring is awful from what I hear. I really feel for you!

Yay on your editor squeeing!!! That’s everything! The rest is just fixes. I know it feels overwhelming but you’ve got this! It’s a danged good book or your editor wouldn’t squee!

Viki, Baby Slayer is the hit of my world, that’s for sure :-)

Thank you on the book. This neck stuff is on my last nerve, but I’m determined to keep a good attitude and fight through it. Getting out of this ditch is helping me!

Thanks on the MRI. We know what it is, it’s determining the severity and treatment options. This should give us the info we need.

Harrison sure sounds like a well adjusted baby who is enjoying all his family and attention! I so get how you feel now. These grandkids make up for all the other indignities of life. Harrison is clearly a very special guy!!

So glad on your hair. Did Cassie do it for you?

Hope your week is getting off to a good start!

Silver!! OMG I could barely process all you have going on. First off, of course Green Giant (formerly Stormy) was cute! Plus he’s getting so big now!

I’m so sorry about the Kindle World scramble. it’s so unfair. I hope it turns out to be a lucrative thing for you!

You are so busy! Please be careful in the heat, I worry about you. That said, I hope you guys have the best float ever!
