Weekend Roundup

You know those days where you slept ok, and aren’t sick, but yet when you got up you were pretty sure you lost a fight with big truck or maybe got kicked my a mule? Yeah, that was me on Sunday. I was dragging for no reason. Even trying to write sucked. I’m pretty sure it’s just having a lot on my mind making me tire

However, Saturday was fun! I went shopping with my friend, and bought a dress for Middle Son’s wedding in the first half hour. That’s a score! I’m not 100% sure it’s the right dress. I loved it, it’s a forest green cocktail dress with some intricate sequin work (blingy!) and looks like me. Since it was on sale and the last one, I bought it. If I find a better dress later, then I’ll return it. And I found a dress for the rehearsal dinner, and this dress will do double duty for my niece’s wedding or one of the bridal showers. It’s really versatile and I’ll be able to wear it a lot, so I’m thrilled about that one! We had a great lunch and talked forever. Saturday rocked!

Friday was…informative, LOL! I saw my pain doctor, we had the report on my MRI. I have a host of issues, but the most pressing is the moderate to severe nerve compression on the right side, and moderate compression on the left. She referred me to a neurosurgeon to get his or her opinion. Who knows, they may say I’m not a candidate for surgery. I’ve spent a year doing everything I felt was reasonable to avoid surgery, and yet nothing has worked. It’s weighing on my mind.

Worrying isn’t useful though. I must conquer this book and at least get the draft done.

How was your weekend?

Yay on scoring bargains in the clothes department! And yeah, I know those days. Something must have been in the air Sunday. I was home from RWA at a reasonable hour Saturday night and still played slug all day yesterday.

Sorry about the neurosurgeon but if relief is available, time to check into that step. Crossing fingers for an easy and good outcome.

Last week was fun, if exhausting. Learned some stuff. Saw old friends. Made some new ones. Saved the day for an attendee. (When she got up and walked away, her little wallet thingy slipped out. I saw it too late–she was already gone. I hung on to it for awhile, in case she returned but as it got time for my pickup for the airport, I turned it over to hotel security. She has it back safe and sound so my good deed.

That’s about it for me. I’m behind on the word count and by slugging it yesterday, I’m just now getting caught up with all the stuff here at home and on-line. I still have to run two errands and then I’m going to get new words. Or else! Have a great week.

Yay for happy shopping! Sorry you’re being referred to a neurosurgeon, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed they have the answers and can finally fix this for you. :hugs:

The weekend went by uneventfully. As usual. Wrote some, read some, exercised some. Watched golf. I’m a party animal. ;o)

Wow! I can’t imagine getting both dresses all in one trip. Excellent job. Glad you had fun too. Being with your friend probably did the trick ;).

It was nice to hear that your doc had the results when you went in Friday. Now we have our fingers crossed that the neurosurgeon will have a wonderful plan of attack and relieve your pain.

The wedding was wonderful. They moved it inside for fear of rain and so it rained 2 miles north of the wedding but not at the wedding site ;). It’s always so nice to be present when two commit. I wish someone had filmed my girlfriend all night. The pride and happiness on her face was heart warming.

Hubs is feeding Harrison baby food for lunch today. This is new. He never fed our boys so it will be all new to him.

    Have a fantastic day!

Silver, Thanks on the dresses. I happy to have made some progress!

Glad you made it back safely! Sounds like another successful RWA Conference, and you definitely saved the day for the woman who lost her wallet. I’d be extremely grateful if it was me!

    Did your workshop go well?

I hope you got your words in. I did today. At least I hope so, I’m pushing through, I don’t care if the book ends up 550 pages. I’ll fix it later.

Hope your week is off to a god start!

B.E, an easy solution would be nice. But this is life, there are things that happen.

You really are a party animal, LOL! Especially watching golf, how do you stand the excitement :-) Actually it sounds like a nice balanced weekend.

Viki, being out with a friend was great. We both bragged about our grand kid :-)

I was surprised they had my results on my MRI, so yeah, that part was good. And the rest isn’t bad. I need to wait and see what the neurosurgeon says before I dive into the worry pool.

I’m so glad the wedding went well! It’s a pain to have to move it, but if they hadn’t, it would have rained on everyone. I agree with you, it really is special to see to people choose to become mates like that. I can picture how much your girlfriend was beaming! We know that feeling when our kid finds the right wife (or husband!).

Hubs never fed your boys? I bet he had a blast feeding Harrison! Hope there are pictures :-)

Hope Monday is good to you!
