Weekend Roundup

Friday we booked our Hawaii trip. I’m shocked we actually did it since we’re financially conservative–or as our kids would say–cheap. I’m not going to announce dates online, but we’re talking spring. Despite tight finances, we are both very excited. Well I was excited, until Wizard mentioned that I need to buy a new swimsuit. :-) And that explains my Monday morning diet plan (don’t worry, I’ll be hungry and over it by noon, or if I see chocolate, whichever comes first).

Saturday, I saved a new draft of my book, and am going back to change the order of things. Can anyone say frustrating???? I’ve known since the first of the year that I should do this, but I kept trying to work around it, and basically spun in circles. But hey, at least I’m back in the fight!

Sunday, Wizard went racing, and I went to hang out with my grandson, Turbo. That kid is walking better and better!

That was my weekend. How was yours?

Yay for booking your trip! I hope you have tons of tun. Hey, better late than never on the book thing. I know it’s frustrating, but it’ll be better for it. Yay for fun with Turbo!

We cleaned the bedroom carpet Saturday and I came down with a cold. That’s my whole weekend right there. Can we have a do-over? ;o)

YES! Good job booking the trip. I know, we’re cheap too, but you guys really deserve this vacation. How long are you going to be in the Islands? My eldest and wife honeymooned there. They loved it.

I feel for you with the book. I’m sure it’s all going to come together very soon.

I love how Turbo has really taken off. He isn’t 1 until April, right? Good job big guy :)!

We (really hubs ;)) steam cleaned the carpet on Saturday.

Earlier in the morning we went to the Ukrainian bakery and picked up a huge poppy seed loaf and then went to see Harrison and his dad. Harrison actually let me hold him instead of JUST Grandpa. It was funny. As we entered the house Harrison reached his arms up for hubs and son yelled out, “well here we go.” It hurts his feelings that Harrison always wants Grandpa over everyone else. Heck, Grandpa is fun ;).

I hope you have a great afternoon!

B.E, I’m so sorry about your cold. You definitely should get a do-over :-( At least the carpet is clean, but that really doesn’t help you feel better. Please take care!

Viki, we’re staying five nights in Waikiki. Just the one island as we have touristy and beachy things we want to do there. I’m glad to hear your eldest son and wife loved it in Hawaii.

Turbo’ll be one March 17th. Their pediatrician said it best–babies develop on their own timeline :-) He’s super active and curious, but he’ll settle down for books and quiet play too.

Wow this carpet cleaning thing is catching on since you and B.E. are doing it! I need to as well, but i can’t move furniture quite yet.

I love that Harrison let Grandma hold him! That’s so cute that he wants Grandpa over Daddy. You’re so right, Grandpa is fun, while dad sets limits and all that boring stuff :-)

Hope your evening is going well!

I’m late getting around. I’ve been up to my eyebrows in contest Excel sheets and emails. 8-O

Yay for Hawaii and Turbo and racing! Even bigger yay for breaking down and doing what the book needs. Restructuring is a pain but in the end? The words should start to flow again and you won’t be so frustrated.

I’m hoping there’s some writing in my future. We’ll see. I did mostly paperwork this weekend, some audio book listening, and watching of LIVE PD. My life is soooo exciting.

Silver, I hope you were able to make significant progress with the contest score sheets. While it’s a LOT of work for you, it’s super exciting for all the contestants waiting to hear! All your volunteer work is worthy.

Thanks for the support on restructuring. I hate that this book became a casualty of my physical problems.

Hope you can clear the decks and get back to writing!
