Weekend Roundup

It’s been a bland weekend. Wizard and I have colds and quarantined ourselves to keep from spreading germs. So far my cold is mild, and Wizard’s is the Dreaded Man Cold. He’s definitely sicker than I am, but he’s not as close to life support status as he might think he is :-)  Although he’s getting bored, so there’s hope, LOL!

Most exciting part of this weekend was figuring out how to restructure a scene. I hope I’m on the right track here.

It rained all day Saturday, and Maggie is really tired of it. However, we have no right to complain given what the rest of the country is enduring with cold and dangerous weather. Not long before I wrote this blog, I got a newsflash on my phone about deadly tornadoes in Alabama and Georgia with grim death tolls. I really hope all of you are warm and safe!

So how was your weekend? Probably more interesting than mine.

Had an 80th bday party for my husband so my eldest son and his whole family, so was my middle son with his daughter and my sister, my sister and brother-in-law were here. Really great to have most of family together. Lots of fun.

I wouldn’t count on it. It was mostly sitting around waiting for the Big Snow. Except the Big Snow didn’t come. We got less than an inch. Made everything kinda pretty for a while. Now, it’s just really freakin’ cold. We’re putting out lots of extra critter food to get them through the worst of this. Yesterday, I made up a bowl of different cereals and dried fruits to sprinkle around outside. The birds were really grooving on the oatmeal.

I feel bad for the people who got the really nasty weather. I started hearing about the damage in Georgia yesterday and then last night, I heard about the Alabama stuff, which was worse. =o(

Yay for restructuring! I hope it works and puts you on the right track. And I hope you both feel better soon. :hugs:

Mine was pretty boring too. Cold. A dusting of snow. I did have pancakes and Mexican food with the kids. That was the highlight of my weekend.

Frigid today. Not even the feral cats are coming out to eat.

The pictures from Alabama are awful. Been there in the aftermath of a couple of those.

I want to write a Gothic romance now. For…reasons. Like I have time. I AM going to get stuff written this week.

Sorry you and Wizard are sick with colds. I think I’m getting one too :(.

    Restructuring is good :).

Poor Maggie. I hope the rain stops and she can get out for her walks.

We had Cassie’s birthday dinner and Harrison only wanted Grandpa. That’s how it always is, he’s too funny.

It’s really cold here again but it is still winter. Come the 21st I won’t say that anymore ;).

Yes, house work is hazardous and we who do it should get hazard pay. I still have a huge egg on the back of my head :(.

    I hope you’re having a great day!

Diane, Happy Birthday 80th to your husband! What a special celebration that must have been. It sounds like you have a lovely family, and your comment made me smile for the day!

B.E. sorry about your Big Snow Snafu. The critters sure are lucky to have you feed them. That kind of cold limits the food supply, and they desperately need it to survive. LOL I didn’t know birds love oatmeal :-)

I haven’t looked at the pictures from the tornados. I know it’s devastating, and heartbreaking. I feel terrible. I hope everyone else is able to stay safe through the cold.

I’ve obsessed over a scene today, writing and rewriting all freaking day. I don’t even know what I’m doing at this point, time to walk away :-)

    Happy Monday!

Silver pancakes and Mexican food with the kids is a good highlight :-)

Hope the feral kitties are okay in the cold!

I know you’ve seen teh devastation of tornadoes. I can’t even imagine. I wish I had more than prayers to offer, but at the moment, it’s all I can do.

Gothic romance? Go for it!! Why not? Hope you get a ton done this week, but and feel much better!

Viki, I feel fine today and Wizard is much improved so yay. I hope you don’t get sick! I was barely sick, so maybe you’ll be that lucky too (or round two is going to sneak up and kick my butt).

Harrison is definitely a Grandpa’s boy! Glad Cassie had a good birthday.

Your poor head! I hope the swelling and soreness go away soon. You must have really banged it, and obviously, you need a break from housework :-)

    Have a great week!
