Weekend Roundup

Before I get started, I have an important Blog Schedule Note: I won’t be posting for a week, and will return Wednesday, May 15th.

Turbo Time was awesome on Saturday! Now that tax season is over, Turbo’s dad has more time, and they all hung out for the entire day. We went to breakfast, then played and played and played. When Turbo’s parents when to pick up lunch, Turbo wore out and fell asleep on me.

Being a Grandma is amazing :-)

So here’s Turbo looking at his mom when she suggested Turbo NOT drink Grandpa’s tea. She warned Grandpa Wizard that Turbo slobbers.

Everyone knows that Grandpa Wizard is squeamish. He’ll barely eat after me! But here’s how much he adores Turbo:

LOLOL!! Trust me, Turbo can do no wrong.

Maggie and Turbo are doing great together too. Turbo has a super cool red car that we can push him in like a stroller. We took him out for a walk in it, and Maggie trotted along beside him. Here is Maggie after Turbo left:

She’s on an old ugly quilt that she loves to burrow in when I watch TV upstairs. She was totally zonked out. Normally she creates a really nice “bed” there but she was just too tired to do more than splat down and snore.

Sunday I had a nail appointment that didn’t work out. I ended up going to another place and spent two hours getting a manicure and pedicure. I like my baby blue nails, but I’m not a fan of sitting like that. We’ll see if I keep the gel nails and just go back to quick pedicures for summer because shoes are optional in my world :-)

And I sent a chunk of my book off to a friend to see if she can wade through it to help me out. I only sent her 250 out of 568 pages. Some of the scenes after the 250 page mark have potential, and other stuff is just Word Soup that has no nutritional value. So…yeah…we won’t talk about that. Sigh.

That was my weekend, how was yours?

Awwww. Turbo and Mags for the win! My question is, did Grandpa Wiz drink after Turbo? Or did he get fresh tea. ;)

Saturday was go-go-go. Pancake breakfast at the Post, which was also hosting a craft fair. Wrangling Stormy was so much fun. Not. LOL Siren test was schedule for noon. LG was dealing with the Post and then a local municipality’s Family Festival. Our 90+ WWII navel vet who served on the Enterprise was the guest of honor. LG and another vet were his escorts.

I headed north to cover LG’s siren, then got a text from Only that the test had been cancelled at the last minute due to “circumstances.” (Mainly because the city was having an arts festival downtown and the city didn’t want to freak out the attendees. That meant early lunch so yay!

Baseball Boy was at the high school regional tournament so it was just us girls and Stormy. He was on a roll–and not a good one. *sigh*

Got home, did some work, and then prepared for Stormy’s arrival. Only had Girls’ Night Out plans with a friend–wine and painting in Bricktown. Liam played in the dog pool while “Jammie” watched as we waited for “Big Daddy” to get home from his stuff. LG and I took Liam out to a local diner. We had breakfast for dinner. He had a corndog. Then it was Sonic for shakes and a blast, home, playtime, LIVE PD, and he zonked out about 9:30. We had to carry him to the car to get him in his car seat.

Sunday was work. I finished the final edits I’d gotten back on CRASH & BURN (a re-release from Kindle Worlds) and got it uploaded. It’s live so yay.

And that was my weekend. :D Hope you and Wiz have an awesome vacay!!!!

Turbo seems to like that tea :). Isn’t it funny how the little ones can do anything they want ;)?

Glad you guys had a nice long fun day together. Maggie definitely had a good time seeing how she crashed :). It’s great that they get along.

I like the sound of the baby blue nails. They will go great with the beauty of Hawaii.

Sure hope your writing buddy can give you what you need with the book. Once you get over that stumbling block it will all come together.

We didn’t do much this past weekend. Hubs watched Harrison yesterday while his parents went to Avengers. Kid said wife cried so hard and loud he thought they would be thrown out. That is until he realized she wasn’t the only one in the theater sobbing. Maybe I’ll just wait for him to get the Blu Ray and lend it to me. That way I can cry all I want and go potty too ;).

You were right. The bruises from my fall have really come out. It just took them a while.

You guys have a lovely romantic trip. Safe travels.

Silver, WOW!! You had a super busy weekend. And you got some work done, I’d call that a win!

So to answer your question, yep, Grandpa did drink after Turbo. We were all pretty surprised, LOL!

    Have a great week :-)

Viki, Turbo definitely liked the iced tea, which was a mixture of regular tea and green tea, so not too much caffeine.

I didn’t realize Avengers was that emotional, yeah, I’d probably wait for it to come out on a streaming service too. I still haven’t recovered from crying in Marley and Me all those years ago.

Oh no, I was afraid the bruises would show up. Tile is so unforgiving. I hope the soreness is getting better.

Thank you and have a great week!
