Weekend Roundup

There was a weekend:

–Friday, I went to an appointment with my sister, Biker Witch. She’s been in pain for a while, and considering options. She and Biker Hubby are handling it, I was just there in the supportive sister role. Umm…sometimes I have trouble staying in the supportive role, but so far, I’m kinda-sorta managing it :-) She’s fine, though. I’m concerned because she’s my sister and I wish she didn’t have to go through this, but she’s up to handling it.

–On Saturday, Special K graduated with her Master’s Degree in IT-Data Science. She rocks! You guys already know I’m so proud of her! Special K works hard to balance family with her goals and dreams. As a woman, I know just how hard that is. And as a mom, I’m proud of my son (all my sons!) for choosing wives who all do this in their own unique ways. They commit to family but also, to growing as women and human beings, and my sons, like their dad, support them.

–Saw all the family at a lunch for Special K! Got to sit by Middle Son and we swamped vacations stories. He and his wife went to Tahiti and we went to Hawaii and it was fun contrasting and comparing, and looking at pics and videos.

–Turbo was at the celebration for his mom too, and he comes right to Grandma most of the time these days 💖 💖.  I didn’t take any pictures, which was stupid of me.  I kind of have a rule of ignoring my phone when it’s family time. But I could still take some pics!

–I worked a smidge getting started on rewrites, and began one of the story line revisions. I’m not Speedy McWriter Pants, but I’m happy! I just had to jump in and get started again.

–Saturday evening, Wizard and I discussed future vacations as if we had the money to go, I mean why let reality get in the way??? Anyhow, we came up with the plan to go cross country sampling all the ice cream and donut shops. Um…maybe we shouldn’t be unsupervised? Just asking.

–On Sunday morning, Wizard and I went to breakfast and began plotting my dream book. Will I ever write it? I don’t know. But that kind of free-plotting is a good way to exercise creative muscles.

–A random addition, aside from Wizard and my sister, Maggie is my best friend in the world! And you know how I have to thank for this? Bailey Dog–he’s the one that prepared Wizard and my hearts to bring a dog full time into our lives. I still have a picture of him over my desk, and some days, I still talk to him. Sometimes, when I look at Maggie, I think, Thank You Bailey Dog.

That was at least some of my weekend, along with a dose of my random thoughts.

How was your weekend?

Thank you, Bailey. Miss you. =o(

Sounds like you had a pretty good weekend. Sorry to hear about Biker Witch. Yeah, it’s hard to remain in the supportive role when family’s in pain and you want to make it all better. :hugs:

It was the Birthiversary weekend here, which means we pretty much didn’t do anything unusual. Except eat cake. And I made a homemade pizza yesterday. Best one yet. Hubs said it looked like a restaurant pizza. It tasted pretty good, too. The big storm on Saturday missed us. Another one is due in this afternoon. Ah, spring in the Ozarks.

Love Bailey Dog!!!! He was such a good guy and he saved Maggie too :).

You had one super busy weekend. So happy for Special K. She is an amazing woman. It’s nice that all of your boys have chosen remarkable partners.

Sunday was middle son and wife 1st anniversary. To celebrate they went on a 30 mile bike ride ;). Had to remind them of SUNSCREEN!

I hope all is well with Biker Witch. I love how you are working on the supportive sister role  .

You two know how to vacation plan ;). It sounds like a great trip and one where you will really get to know the people of The United States. I think you could write it of as a writer research trip.

    Have a great day :).

I’m a day late but so glad to be able to sit upright long enough to read and type replies. This hardly breathing thing sucks.

Sending good thoughts to Biker Witch! Congrats to Special K and you have awesome kids! Turbo and Maggie and sweet Bailey Dog, included. ;) I say y’all need to rent a motorhome and do it! I mean…ice cream and donuts FT!

Okay, now I’m dying to know about your dream book. Just sayin’…
