Maggie Visits Auntie Biker Witch

Hi guys, guess what?

Oh wait, I’m supposed to say, Hi, it’s me, Maggie,  so you all know who is blogger-talkin’ to you.

Anyhow, guess what? I got to go see my Auntie Biker Witch! And Uncle Biker Hubby! For reals, I did! It’s the first time I got to go to their house. It was so much fun, and I was glad to see Auntie Biker Witch looking good. I didn’t smell any icky-sick on her, so she must be healing well after her surgery. But my real job was just to cheer everyone up. Mom’s job was to take over some food that she made.

But Mom wouldn’t let me taste-check any of the food :-(

Both my aunt and uncle thought Mom was unreasonable :-) Uncle Biker Hubby told Mom over and over that he likes feeding dogs a lot, and she should let him give me a few bites of food. Isn’t he smart? But Mom didn’t let him! She said that she was sorry she forgot to bring my treats, but I couldn’t have any people food, so he’d have to wait until next time.

Mom is really strict like that. Wanna know how strict? I’ll tell you. See Auntie Biker Witch has a big owie on her back so she can’t move real well to pet me. She told mom, “Let Maggie get up on the couch so I can pet her easier.”

Mom said “No, Maggie can stay on the floor. Next time I’ll bring her couch blanket, and then she can get up on the couch with you. Otherwise, she’s not allowed.”

See? Isn’t that crazy strict? Of course, I played it up a little after that, laying by mom’s feet and looking like a good girl who deserved extra couch time. But later in the car, Mom told me that she was worried I might accidentally hurt Auntie Biker Witch, and then I’d feel all bad about it. She was protecting both me and her sister.

I guess Mom does mean well.  But she could have let Uncle Biker Hubby give me one or two bites of people food, right?

That’s okay though. When Mom was talking to Auntie Biker Witch, Uncle Biker Hubby told me in secret that he’s going to buy me my very own bag of special dog treats that he’ll keep at the house for me! Shhh…don’t tell mom :-)

So that was my big adventure yesterday. Did you have any adventures this week?

Hi Maggie! Nice to hear you blogging today :).

You were so fortunate to get to go visit Aunt Biker Witch and Uncle Biker Hubby :). You were such a good girl too. Not putting up a fess about having to stay off the couch demonstrates how good you are. Your mom was looking out for both you and Auntie. Maybe next time you visit you’ll be able to give her all kinds of super loving :).

I hope it isn’t too humid for you to take your mom for walks. We all know how much your mom enjoys them.

My adventure this week is taking my girlfriend out for dinner tonight. Her kids are grown and her hubs is in Asia. My hubs and I thought it would be nice to take her out and feed her properly :).

You, Mom, and Dad have a wonderful remainder of the week!

Good girl, Maggie! Yeah, moms are like that sometimes. I’m glad Uncle Biker Hubby will have you covered for next time. ;o)

No adventures for me this week. Well, I did make a new recipe, which is always an adventure, but I don’t think you’d like Oatmeal Muffins. It’s a people thing. Today, I made oatmeal raisin cookies. Next up is oatmeal cake. Silly me, I thought we were out of oatmeal, so bought a big thing of it, and when I got home, I found a big thing of oatmeal already in the cupboard, so loads of oatmeal here. Which means loads of oatmeal recipes. Sorry no doggie oatmeal treats, but I don’t have a puptart right now. And Kira cat hates treats. Cats. Am I right?

Viki, I thought I was a good girl too! Mom gave me a special treat last night, so that kind of made up for her being so strict at Auntie Biker Witch’s house.

I reminded my mom to take me for a walk real early before the heat makes me pant too much. But mom was getting bit by bugs this morning, it was a little funny to see her doing a slap-dance :-)

Going out to dinner with your friend while her husband is in a faraway place is a pretty big adventure! I hope you all have fun, and did you know, most restaurants have doggy bags? Just asking…

Thanks, we are having a good week, I got to go to Home Depot today! I hope you have a good week too!

B.E., thanks! Uncle Biker Hubby is the best! Sometimes when he’s at my house, he slips me treats when mom isn’t looking. She kind of knows, though.

Food is always an adventure! I’d be willing to try oatmeal treats! Mom was talking about making oatmeal cookies for Uncle Biker Hubby yesterday, so they must be yummy.

Your cat doesn’t like treats? See, that’s one of the many reasons cats confuse me. Treats are like amazing! Also some dogs–not me of course–but some dogs think cats are scary. They stare at you, and then they go BAM and smack you with their claw paws. Seriousface, you might not even see it coming! I usually just leave cats alone. But I’m sure your Kira Cat doesn’t smack dogs or people for no reason.

One day I hope you get a puptart that loves treats! And walks! And also, lots of petting and belly rubs.
