After Holiday Stuff

Hey! I missed you all! Did all who celebrate Christmas have a good time? Whatever traditions your family celebrates, I wish you joy and peace as we begin closing out 2019 and reaching for our new challenges in 2020!

I asked Maggie to show you her new collar she got for Christmas and she did this:

The dog is weird. She either wiggles or army crawls when she’s trying to be cute, LOL! I finally got this pose

She’s a great dog, but not very photogenic.

We will have our family Christmas this Saturday. It’ll be fun! I bought a new mini bundt cake pan and I’m making two kinds of mini bundt cakes Bailey’s Hot Chocolate Bundt Cake and a Copycat Nothing Bundt Red Velvet Cake. I’m pretty excited to try both of these cakes. I hope they come out. I have a standard mini bundt cake pan, which is fine. But I really wanted this one:

Nordic Ware Heritage Bundtlette Cake Pan, Metallic, Silver

After consulting with my newest daughter-in-law, I gave into temptation and ordered it. One can never have too many cake pans! Now let’s see if I can get the cakes to release once they’re baked and cooled. I have excellent luck using a baking spray but those are some very deep grooves.

I really REALLY need to get out of holiday baking mode and into healthy eating mode. At least my side is continuing to improve at a nice steady rate, so I can go back to the gym on Monday.

How was your holiday?

Ours was low-key and nice. I’m still fighting the darn cold so I was glad. We headed up to the Kids’ for Santa presents. I took the cinnamon rolls–a Christmas morning tradition. After present opening, we cleaned up the stray wrapping paper and headed down to the in-laws. We visited, opened presents, visited, and then everyone went home. We had sandwiches–not a big traditional lunch/dinner. And then we napped. It was nice. Low-stress. I got Isotoner memory-foam house shoes with hard soles. I love them. Love my family.

Glad yours was a good one. And Maggie is too photogenic! ;)

Enjoy your weekend. Hope none of yours are caught up in that big winter storm. :(

I think Maggie is photogenic. She poses her ears and everything :). Love her new collar.

Love the bundt pans. Have a great time with family celebrating Christmas Saturday. We’re doing hubs “huge” family get together Sunday.

We had a nice Christmas. Hubs and I went to church for the children’s mass and then headed over to Harrison’s house for the family celebration. We brought in Mission BBQ for dinner and then did presents.
Harrison was so cute handing out presents. He had the biggest smile on his face. We all got goods with his image on them ie I now have a couch pillow with his face on it :).
The best was when Harrison’s Uncles brought in the gift they got him – an electric truck that he rides. The kid hopped right in and figured out most of how the drive it. He was very happy.
Christmas day was just the youngest, hubs, and me. Nice a quiet.

Have a really wonderful time Saturday. Bet Turbo will be a blast :)!

Silver, you have a very special family! I’m happy to hear you had a good and low key Christmas. I hope your son in law’s father is doing okay.

The storm has worried Wiz and I for our middle son and his wife who are traveling, but I trust their judgement and am not naggie–yet :-)

I hope you have a great weekend too!
