Oops & Weekend Update

Happy February! I’m late getting the blog up because of “user error” Which is what happens when I try to do something at 9:00 o’clock at night :-)

Good weekend and a short blog :-) We went to Middle Son’s for Super Bowl yesterday and had a fun and relaxing time. Dinner was great, and I adore their two dogs Jett and Hazel. Maggie did okay with them too. I’m not at all into football, but even I could say it was a good game. But the dogs mostly kept me entertained while the others yelled at the TV :-)

Toady, I’m hoping to get to the gym and back to the book. We’ll see if Monday decides cooperates with my plans!

**Add Update: It’s cold and windy here today, and I’m pretty sore, so I skipped the gym. I’m pushing a bit too hard, so I may have to rest a week with just stretching, walking and a little core work at home. It’s about time for a shot in my elbow too. I’m icing it today to see if it’s just particularly cranky from a RA flare or it’s the tendon. However, this all is minor stuff. I’ve just learned over the years to pay attention when these little flares happen before they become a real problem.

How was your weekend?

It was a good game! Glad the Chiefs won. We haven’t really watched the Super Bowl in a few years, except for the commercials and the past few years, those have been sort of blah, too. There were a few that made us laugh or sniffle last night, but I was mainly there for the game–for a change.

Saturday was crazy–pancake breakfast at the post, siren test, Mexican lunch with Only and Stormy because Baseball Boy had practice. Jake went and was totally awesome! One downer was after lunch, I took him to a patch of grass next to the parking lot to do his business and I found a hole to step in. I went down–gracefully, according to LG. Jake stayed right with me and even nosed under me when I flipped over on my knees to stand up. Who’s a good boy!?!? I did actually manage to stand without help, other than Jake’s, which is a plus, given my knees. Sadly, yesterday and today I’m feeling it in my arms, legs and back. Ah well.

Have a great week! And take it easy. 🤞 the elbow eases up!

It was a good game (the part I watched ;) ). I was so happy that Kansas City won. But my favorite part was the Jason Momoa commercial. That was so funny and when tiny Lisa had to lift the bar for him I couldn’t contain my laughter.

I hope you’re feeling better today. It really stinks being in pain all the time. I hope to rest today did you good.

    Have a great afternoon.

Hi! I’m glad to see you had a good weekend. Take it easy this week if you have to. :hugs:

Not much going on around here. We didn’t watch the game or the commercials. Just kind of hung around like we usually do. I made applesauce bread – recipe on my FB and my yesterday blog post. Super easy and yummy. Other than that, same ol’ same ol’.

Silver, I thought most of the commercials were blah, but I honestly was distracted by chatter and dogs. It’s fun to get my big dog fix with their two pups.

You were very busy on Saturday! And that fall…I’m so sorry. Jake’s a very good boy for staying with you. I’m glad it wasn’t worse, but I know you much be very sore :-(

    Hope you heal up quickly!

Viki, that was the one commercial that I noticed and liked! I loved that he had such a sense of humor :-)

We went to visit Dan’s mom today which is super easy and kept me from sitting too much at the computer. I’ll feel better tomorrow.

Hope you’re having a good Monday!

B.E., I forgot to tell you, I had a loaf apple bread in the freezer, and Wizard thawed and enjoyed it. There was also pumpkin and zucchini in there, but he actually chose the apple bread!

Glad your applesauce bread turned out delicious! I’m not looking or I’ll want to make it, LOL!

I’m a fan of same ol’ weekends sometimes. Plus you got to try your new applesauce bread recipe :-)
