Weekend Roundup

So I’m here, the weekend happened, and so far, we’re healthy. I truly hope all you and your loved ones are healthy too.

Fun fact about the weekend: For the first time I can ever remember, Maggie refused to go for a walk! Which is totally odd. I mean it was 8:30 in the morning and only her second walk of the day :-) It’s pretty bad when the dog who loves walks refuses.

Wizard and I might have been using the whole walk thing to burn off our quarantine restless, LOL!

In writing news, I chased my tail for a few days, and then yesterday afternoon, I was so pissed, I may have written the scene that works out of sheer frustration. Sometimes, that’s what it takes to get past the noise in our heads, I guess.

And now I want to know you are doing. Even if you just answer with one or two words,  I sincerely want to hear for each of you to know if you’re doing okay so far. I’d also love to hear how your weekend went if you have the time and energy to share.

Good Morning! I’m healthy and still working. Food supply and companion animal health doesn’t stop. We even have a letter from the governor to work if they close our state. I have Lupus, so this whole thing scares the #$%^ out of me, however, I have to believe safe guards will be enough.

    Stay Safe, Stay Sheltered.
    Best Wishes,
    C

Me and mine are all healthy. The kids are feeling the stress of close quarters. We’ll probably go kidnap Stormy to give his parents a break. I have to hit the grocery store for perishables. Luckily, I drink soy milk and it’s “shelf” life is far longer than milk and we need meat. I also need…something. LOLOL

I’m not braining today. Something distracted me at the elipses. I walked away from the computer, then showered, washed my hair, dressed, checked to make sure LG was still asleep, then snuck off to hit Wallyworld. I got everything I needed, came home, off-loaded and put up, sat back down at the computer with a fresh cup of coffee and…discovered I’d never finished my comment.

So yeah. Other than braining being hard, we’re good. Sadly, we’ve lost a couple of acquaintances to Corvid-19. Nobody close but we knew them. We know one other who’s in ICU with it, another attorney, as were the two who passed. No friends or family. 🤞 we ALL remain healthy. Sending those thoughts out to all I know!

Now to get my DL renewed. Fun times. Not! And yeah, at some point, hoping for new words. I’d grab frustrated and/or angry words with both hands–then I’d go wash them. ;) Sorry. My warped sense of humor kicking in. Glad you had a break-thru, Jen! Hang in there, let Maggie get some rest–or chase lizards. :)

    We’ll get through this. 💖

Wow! That is strange, Maggie not wanting to go for a walk. I wonder what was up. Guess you two were wearing her out 😅.

Funny how getting really pissed at something often makes it work. I sure hope the scene holds for you.

We’re all doing okay. I really wish I could get rid of them for a couple hours. Sometimes I think this situation has made my husband stupid. He’s just not thinking. It may be how this is all messing with him.

Spunk is in a funk. He has just slept for the past two days which is very weird.

I guess we’re all locked down for another month but if it works I’m happy to do it.

Take good care and stay healthy.

PS – Watch out lizards, Maggie the Great Lizard Destroyer is watching you.

Carrie, I’m so glad to hear from you, and that you’re healthy at the moment. And thank you for working during such a scary time. But I’m concerned, Lupus does put you at serious work. Please take extra special care of yourself!

Silver, oh yeah, it’s harder with an energetic child, probably worse with an only. At least siblings can play with each other (or mine did, anyway).

I use almond milk and have a similar long shelf life :-) Wizard drinks dairy, but he will resort to almond milk if he has to.

LOL on not braining or finishing the comment. I’m doing that here and there. Like say, with the book…but lets not talk about it.

I’m so sorry people you know have passed form COVID 19. The tragedy just keeps growing and it’s awful. A doctor in our family is warning us all that it’s bad and just stay home. I’m worried about the medical people in our family too.

Hmm, do you have to go in to DMV to renew your license? All the DMVs are closed here. I hope you can do it by mail.

I washed most of my angry words today :-) And am trying to figure out how to move forward. Its close but not quite right yet, but I’ll take it.

Maggie’s have a fun day with walks and lizards, she’s happy. Hope your critters are keeping you entertained and making you smile!

And yes we’ll get through this. Hugs!

Viki, it was unusual, but she appeared fine otherwise–eating, happy and active so I think she was just plain tired.

It could very well be stress with your husband. I can so understand wanting some time to yourself. Our weather’s been nice for a couple days and Wizard has busied himself outside or worked in the garage, giving me (and himself) breathing space.

Do you think Spunk is sick or just a little off? Animals feel the stress, so it could be that.

It sucks to be house bound for another month and I HATE not seeing Turbo or our kids, but I hate people dying more so I’ll do it too.

Maggie had fun chasing lizards today :-)

You guys all stay well and I have you can get a little time to yourself somehow.

Sorry I’m late. We’re all fine here, but it was a long day.

Oh, man, Maggie not wanting to walk? That’s just weird. Yay for getting the scene out, even if it took being pissed to do it. Maybe I need to get a little pissed, LOL.

I was out showing the Kid around the yard because the last time she was here, we hadn’t sprayed for ticks yet. I introduced her to Linus the Lilac, who’s blooming right now. Then I did some yard work while she went back to homework. Later, I did a Dollar General run. It was scary in there, everyone walking around with a shellshocked look. But they were all really nice and did the distancing thing and I got some stuff we were short of or running short of. So, it’s all good.

B.E., I’m glad you were able to stop by here! Maggie just had enough of us, LOL! Both Wizard and I are not good at sitting around waiting.

I bet Linus the Lilac was thrilled to meet your kid :-)

I just got home from grocery shopping, and I saw that exact same look, plus a lot of people wearing masks and gloves. Hope you were able to get what you needed from Dollar General.

I’m happy for you that your daughter is there with you.
