Wednesday Smile + Bonus Storytime

I had a whole Pick Your Joke blog, but the joke memes didn’t download correctly, so I’m going to plan B from my files :-) Which cake makes you smile the most:

Book and Tea Cake

Dragon on Book Cake

Peter Rabbit Book Cake

What’s your choice?

Bonus Storytime from me: So I baked some oatmeal chocolate chips cookies this weekend, and put a picture of them on my FB page. Yesterday I get a phone call from CPA Boy. He gives me this long story about how much Turbo (my grandson) misses us and can we please come see him Saturday? Wizard and I have been isolating, they’ve been isolating, and Turbo needs to see his grandparents. It was so sweet and convincing…

Until the very end. “Oh and Mom,” CPA Boy added casually. “If you have any of those cookies you just made left, can you bring those?”

I just got played! CPA Boy used my grandson to snag himself some cookies. He’s lucky I just happened to freeze half the batch :-) Okay, I’m kinda proud of him for selling it so well. Plus I’d bake him cookies anytime and he knows it.

Turbo DOES need to see his grandparents. The cookies are just a bonus. 🤣

People who can create cakes like these absolutely amaze me! Wow. 😲 How do you even cut into one to serve? I can’t choose. Peter Rabbit is so cute (and intricate), the tea and book is so sweet (and intricate), and (also intricate) Dragon!

Thanks for sharing the pics. They made me smile! Happy Hump Day!

First, you got played  . Our boys really know how to get us. But you need to see Turbo and he needs to see you too. Will you be allowed contact or will it be like our window sessions with Harrison?

I love all three cakes. The bakers have incredible talent. Because it’s spring and 72 F here (but drizzling) my choice will be Peter Rabbit.

    I hope you’re having a great day!

Yay, you’re one of the cool kids now! ROFL. Anyway, I’m glad you baked the cookies and that you’re going to get to see Turbo, even if your son was angling for cookies by dangling your grandson like a carrot. Too funny.

I like the Peter Rabbit cake the best, but they’re all lovely. I wouldn’t be able to cut into them either. My cakes aren’t for looking at, they’re for eating. Yay!

Silver, aw thank you! We are going to see him :-)

I know on the cake designers! I’m always in awe. Because I’ve dabbled, I can see how much skill, talent and hard work goes into each cake.

Happy Hump Day back to you!

Viki, they do know how to get to us :-) We will have contact. Wizard and I have resisted because Turbos so young and we don’t want to risk his health, but we’re going to see him now. We are limiting other contact though. Crazy and frustrating times we’re living in.

I love the amazing detail in Peter Rabbit.

Hope you’re having a good evening!

B.E., my son cracked me up. I hadn’t realized he’d seen my FB post.

Cakes for eating are yummy. I worry first about taste, and in cakes, I like them fresh not dry, so we’re on the same team there. But I love seeing these beautiful cakes and watch cake decorating shows when I can.

    Peter Rabbit is amazing!

Hope your week is going well.

Biker Witch, I knew you’d like the dragon! Even if he’s not purple, LOL!

    Happy Wednesday!
