Weekend Roundup

Saturday was filled with Turbo kisses! He’s so affectionate with us now. And I love that when he gets here, he runs up the sidewalk, comes right in, says hi and just starts playing. He knows where his toys are, and what he’s allowed to play with. But boy, he was so tired after playing, going up and down the stairs, having fun with Maggie, swimming, eating chocolate and more playing. They left at 7 and he slept through until 8 the next morning.

Saturday was a bright spot in a hard week with the fires, and two police officers ambushed and shot while sitting in their car.

Sunday Wizard went racing, I struggled all freaking day with the last plot point driving me crazy. I need to nail this down today. If I can’t, I’ll be asking anyone I can find for help! A good night’s sleep might help me crack this code though.

That was my weekend, how was yours?

Yay for happy Turbo time! :hugs: for the fires and other bad things happening in CA right now. Sorry your writing is giving you fits. Let me know if I can be of any help.

The weekend here was blah. Not much going on. The smoke from the CA fires is hovering over us here in MO, making the sun all creepy red in the mornings and at dusk. Our fawns are losing their spots and they all look like mini-does. We’re starting to hear geese in the skies, headed south for the winter. It all seems a bit early to me, but what do I know?

Here’s to a good night’s sleep and an answer to the code. :hugs:

TURBO TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥰 Fires, police shootings, and protests… Yay for racing. Totally get the plot point dilemma. 🐱‍💻

I’ve been wrestling with these line edits for days! Technically, they were due back Friday but Charles said I could slide through until today. I’ve rewritten, erased, rewritten, revised, erased, and started over. Gah! I still have around 30-40 pages that have work to be done on them. Getting ready to refill coffee and dig in. I have until midnight. It might take that long if my brain won’t unfog. 🤯

Hang in there and I hope you found the code! New week, new possibilities, right? 💕

I’m so happy that Turbo was able to come over to your house and have SO much fun. It’s so nice that he is able to do that and is so comfortable. Love how long her crashed after playing all day at Grandma and Grandpa’s house :).
You never said what chocolate delight grandma had for Turbo.

Sure hope you were able to get a good nights sleep and are able to get through the stumbling block.

I am so sick over the two sheriff deputies and the scum that were blocking the hospital ER chanting “I hope they die.” What in God’s name is wrong with these monsters? That’s just it I guess, they aren’t human, they ARE monsters.

Are you still out of harms way with the fires? My former CEO/President of the company I worked for and very good friend is in Portland. Haven’t heard from them but they are VERY wealthy so hopefully they are at one of the other homes. It looks like the main home is likely gone :(.

Hubs and I went to visit Harrison on Saturday. We all had way too much fun for the hour we were allowed to be there. Cassie even let me push him on the swing. I never touched him only the plastic back of the bucket swing seat. He told is Dad that he wanted Grandma Vik and PawPaw to come back and visit again REAL soon, as in today. Unfortunately, hubs didn’t get the text until 2 hours after it was sent because he was kayaking.

I sure hope you and a great afternoon and that you all stay safe.

B.E., thank you for the offer!! I was serious closely to asking, when an idea occurred to me. I’m reorganizing a lead in scene, then will write it and fingers crossed it works.

Crazy that the smoke has made its way to you! Totally feel you on the creepy red in mornings and evenings.

Fawns losing spots and birds heading south are probably better signs of fall/winter than our calendars :-)

Hope your day is going well!

Silver, I figured out the plot point dilemma and set up. I’ll rewrite it tomorrow and Wednesday and hopefully get it nailed down and keep going on edits. That’s the plan…

Your battle with line edits is EPIC! I’m so sorry for the struggle. Some books just want to make us work harder :-( I really do feel your tired frustration. Hang it there, you’ll do this!

    I’m all for new possibilities.

Viki, I had to adjust some meds, so that’s messing with my sleep, but it will resolve in a couple days. However I made mental progress today.

I’ll never understand any of it. At the hospital, that was a small group of monsters. There were also groups of people praying for the officers–just to add some balance that the media ignores. But that doesn’t change how horrible the person who shot them is, or the awful people chanting vicious things.

We are still safe from the fires, thanks for asking. I hope your former boss and family are okay! Losing a home is so devastating. But it sounds like they have options and that’s a positive. We have some family up there too.

Awww Harrison obviously loves his grandma and grandpa so much! I’m so glad you got to engage a bit more and play. You’re daughter in law is clearly very worried about Covid, and it’s good of you guys to understand. I know it’s hard on all of you. And I’m sorry you got the text today late. I hate when that happens!

Hope your week is off to a good start.
