Wednesday Heroes

Today these guys and gals are my heroes:

I’m proud and inspired by how hard firefighters, and all the first responders, battle beyond exhaustion. They ignore politics and the dark side of humanity to do the work to save lives, and homes, but lives come first.

Who is your hero today?

Those are definitely some heroic people. Thanks for bringing them to everyone’s attention. :hugs:

I read a news story this morning about some firefighters out there who ignored an order to stand down and rescued 200 people. They’re my heroes this morning.

ALL first responders are my heroes–the ones in the west fighting the fires and the ones on the Gulf Coast hunkered down waiting for Sally to pass, and the ones in between. Today, though, my main hero is the Hispanic LA County Deputy and mother who, despite being shot in the face, managed to call in the situation AND get a tournaquet on the arm of her younger male partner. Luckily, both will survive their life-threatening injuries. 💕💕💖💖

I totally agree! Firefighters don’t always seem to get the same recognition as the other first responders and military heroes get. They work tirelessly for days on end. My hat goes off to them and all the rest.

Today my hero is the Firefighter and the Cajun Navy (always out to rescue the, emmmm – people, that didn’t evacuate when ordered).

    Have a great day!

Silver, I saw some of that footages of the deputy, but I just couldn’t watch more. However I’ll second your hero award there!

The flood in the the gulf coast is terrible, I’m worried for all of them, and grateful for all the heroes who can help.

We have a lot of heroes out there!

Viki, another great set of heroes! Yeah, I wish people would evacuate. I can image some of them are already fatigued with this season though.

    Heroes give us all hope!
