Poor Maggie! Kira doesn’t understand either, but she’s more of the mind that we’re the ones who don’t understand and when she wants food we’d better damn well give her food or we’ll be hearing from her lawyers. The only time it’s really bad is first thing in the morning – when I get up at five and she thinks it’s six and therefore I’m an hour late feeding her. I caught hell this morning. Sheesh cat, let me get some coffee perking before you start in with the meowing.
This is so very true! I woke up at 5 this morning. Loki was waiting by the side of the bed to attack my feet. Jake was at the foot of the bed staring at me. Boone was snoring in the closet. He’s old and doesn’t get up like he used to. They were sorely disappointed when I attended to my needs and crawled back into bed. Jake got to go at at 6, Loki got food. I got the coffee started. In that order.
We go through the same thing at night. The dogs normally eat around 8 after we finishes, as we eat around 7. Of course, now WE’RE hungry at 6 and the boys want food at 7. Stupid time change. What do we have to do to get it fixed?!?!?! 🤯
I feel so bad for Maggie. Spunk is having the same issue. In fact it’s 3:36 and he’s bugging me for dinner now. I normally give him dinner at 4:30.
Time change really messes with pets and kids :(.
Silver, LOLOL! I bet they were outraged that you thought an extra hour of sleep came before their preferred feeding schedule!
We eat earlier around 5:30 and somehow Maggie convinced us 4:00 pm is her optimal feeding time. I don’t mind, I just think it’s funny that she trained us. But I guess that’s what dogs and cars do
No idea how to fix this time change annoyance. Move to Arizona? Somedays, I think about it, but the time change isn’t my prime motivation.
Viki, if the dogs and cats ever form a union, we’re in trouble! Spunk is obviously as annoyed as Maggie, Silver’s critters and Kira.
I bet you’re up wicked early since you normally get up pre-dawn if I remember right.
My day’s been a headachy challenge, but I got a couple big items accomplished on the road to getting Savaged Devotion ready to publish. Hope you’re have a good day!

Kira cracks me up.
Maggie really only cares about her night meal (we do half serving twice a day) because that’s when we add a little canned food which she loves.
I have my coffeemaker on a timer because coffee always comes first
