Weekend Roundup

It was a weekend. Things happened, stuff got done, other stuff didn’t. Here in California, things are bad Covid 19-wise, and chunks of the state are on lockdown. It’s hard not to be depressed. I’m very worried about people getting through this nightmare health wise, financially and emotionally.

But I also believe in choosing positive actions over becoming angry and reactive. So to that end, I’ve done two things:

For myself personally, I spent Sunday hanging out with my grandson. Wizard didn’t feel 100%, probably from allergies, but he stayed home as a precaution. Here’s a picture of Turbo playing in the dirt while weaving pretty amazing stories for a two year old about building a house (the dump truck and tractors knock on the door…not sure how that happens if the house isn’t built yet, but it’s Turbo’s world :-) )  Spending time with Turbo (and his parents!) really helped improve my outlook on life.

And in an effort to spread some love to the romance community, I’m having an eBook sale of The Savaged Illusions Trilogy. The first book, Savaged Dreams is only 99¢ on the eBook version for a limited time. The eBook versions of books two and three,  Savaged Vows and Savaged Devotion, prices have been slashed to $2.99.

Now my goal is to write PRIMAL MAGIC and FALLEN MAGIC in 2021 to spread more love and magic. That’s a huge challenge for me, but I’m going for it!

So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Awwww, Turbo Time!!! 🥰 And kids have such amazing imaginations. I got a little Stormy time but it was busy with Santa photos and such. Saturday didn’t go completely as planned but that’s ok. I also got Only time and we don’t get that very often anymore.

I mostly vegged Sunday. Listened to an audio book. LG and I are ODing on Hallmark movies. He’ll watch them even if I’m not sitting there. He’s definitely a keeper.

I probably won’t write much this week. I’m going to work on graphics and finding pics for graphics for the two books releasing in February. I’ll also try to narrow down my next project. We’ll see.

Y’all stay healthy out there. It’s scary in so many places–and so much of the shutdown doesn’t make sense. Anyway… Have a great week!

I love when little boys play like little boys. Dirt, trucks, shovels – YES! The stories and songs they make up are so cute too. So happy that you are able to be there and experience the fun.
We get to watch Harrison play via Facetime. He tries to make sure we know everything he’s doing. It’s an okay substitute to actually being there.

Our weekend was a bit different. The tree guys said they would try and fit us in to Saturday afternoon and would call Friday and let me know. I did not get a call. Imagine my surprise Saturday morning after I got out of the shower standing in front of my sink in our second story bathroom (naked) to notice the one tree is no longer on the house but standing and that there is noise outside. Well, I guess they didn’t see me because they didn’t go blind 🤣, they continued to work.
Some of the Christmas present I ordered arrived and it looks like the credit card mess is cleared up.

Today I went and got my second Shingles shot. Sure hope it doesn’t knock me on my butt like the first one did.
Our CVS is also going to be giving the Covid-19 vaccine. Hubs is happy.

Hope you have a great day!

Silver, glad you got a little time with Stormy, but it’s hard when there are a lot of distractions. Really good that you got some Only time.

    LG is absolutely a keeper!

Hope it’s a productive week in marketing and planning. It’s good to give yourself permission to not write while doing that.

I’m hoping we all stay healthy. It’s bad everywhere, and we all likely know people who are sick these days. I hear you on shutdowns.

Still we’re here and we’re all doing our best!

Viki, Facetime is a good alternative, it’s what we do when we can’t see Turbo. But we all need this to be over in all the ways so we can have our family and friends back in our lives.

WOW and YIKES!! That had to be a shock! I’m sorry it happened that way. I guess the silver lining is that you got the tree taken care of.

Good news on the gifts and credit card mess.

I’m crossing my fingers that you don’t have a reaction to the second shingles shot.

Hope you have a much better week than last week!

Whew, I finally made it here. It’s been a day. Yay for Turbo Time! His make believe story sounds fun. (Takes after his grandma.) Yay for sales! If I didn’t already have those books, I’d definitely buy them now. I hope loads of people buy them and get as engrossed in your worlds as I am. Yay for your goals! You can do it! :hugs:

Kira cat is all sniffley again. I called to see if the vet would just give me meds, considering it’s the same ailment she had in May. But no. They had to see her, so I spent the afternoon doing that. Luckily, while I was waiting for them to see her (can’t go inside with your pets anymore), I swung over to the plumbing supply place to pick up stuff to fix my toilet. Long story there. On the way home, I picked up ice cream. I made a cake this morning, and I seriously needed more ice cream to go with that. And that’s my life right now.

B.E., thank you for the encouragement!

Wow you did have a day. So Kira cat looks to be okay, right? I know she’s a senior kitty now, so…I hope she’s okay. I totally get how vets work, when I took Maggie in for her shot, I waited in the 100 degree heat–not fun. Glad you were able to use the time well.

I saw your cake on FB, it looked amazing! Ice cream will make it even better. And you deserve it.

Oh, yeah, Kira’s already less sniffley than she was, so it’s all good.
