Weekend Roundup & Release Day & Blog Tour!

Part One: My Weekend

I was walking Maggie yesterday and passed by a neighbor who shouted out, “You’re nothing if not predictable.”

Just what every girl wants to hear, right?

So this neighbor has a security cameras on his house, and every morning at 7:05 a.m. it dings that someone’s in front of his house. When he checks the camera, it’s me and Maggie heading out for our walk. Like clockwork. Every. Single. Day.

That’s me, boring and predictable. That was pretty much my weekend too :-)

Now my characters are the total opposite. They are having a grand old time making me chase them and figure out how to make their crazy, wild lives into rational scenes that make sense. They constantly try to defy the logic of magic and the world they are in, which leaves me scrambling to make it all work. Fun times! But overall, I had a pretty decent writing weekend, and if this holds, the book will finally get going.

Part Two: Release Day of the Boxed Set:

Today, Savaged Illusions, The Complete Series should go live. So yay! The price change from $3.99 to $6.99 is scheduled for Tuesday. The wild card there is Amazon. Getting them to change the price as planned should be a simple matter as it is with the other vendors, but sometimes they drag their feet and try to spice up my boring, predictable life by making me jump through hoops followed my lots of begging. We shall see.

Part Three: Blog Tour! With a Giveaway! (I hope, I forgot to double-check that–so fingers crossed I didn’t let that slip through the cracks.)

LOL about your neighbor and predictable isn’t necessarily a bad thing. You have a schedule and you’re sticking to it. Go you. Plus, it’s good for Maggie to be on a schedule for her business. Yay for a decent writing weekend! I one-clicked the set this morning. I don’t usually do sets, but this one is special. Yay for your blog tour! I hope it gains you a ton of new readers and loads of sales. =o)

It was pretty boring here this weekend, too. I finally feel like a good night’s sleep last night. One in a row! Go, me! I made cookies yesterday. I’m thinking applesauce bread today. And editing. I really need to get off my buns and get to work. I posted a snippet of the beginning this morning to maybe get the gumption rolling.

Yay for all the things! 🤞 for good sale numbers. Like B.E., I one-clicked. I have all the individual books, but I like the idea of having them all together in one place so I don’t have to search for them on the Kindle. ;)

Weekend. It got above freezing! All the snow is gone now, but for the huge piles from snow removal. LG and I went to the Department finals of the American Legion oratory contest. The very sweet girl who’d one from Post 12 took first place. I did a load of laundry (which is stacked up due to pleas to conserve energy and water). I’ll be good and space out the other loads, one a day for a bit. No writing. :(

Sunday, I gave blood. The weather created a huge shortage in the supply–like at one point, they were down to less than a day’s supply. I’d already signed up but then some businesses jumped in and offered daily drawings for a $2K Visa gift card and a local car dealer offered a 2021 Subaru Outlander for a grand prize. Yes please! Only needs a new vehicle! While I was waiting and giving, I tried to focus on the WIP to come up with some transitions/plot twists/anything that would get words on the screen. What happened? I got another idea. When I got home, I sat down and wrote almost 1K words on an opening for a Nightrider book. At least I know that much. The rest? I have no clue who the H/h are, only that she’s running from someone and gets stranding at the local biker bar in Kansas City. I’m ready to strangle Iffy! Stupid Muse.

Anyway, the sun is shining, all the ferals are accounted for, temps are more in the normal range and life is pretty okay. ;)

    Have a great week, everyone!

    Happy Boxed set release day!!!!

You have things lined up great. When I’ve been on line I’ve been trying to put the release out there on Twitter and Facebook. I’m very excited for you!

That’s cute about you and Maggie. I’m like you. You can set your clock by all of my daily actions. If I’m off even by a minute, it bugs me.

Our weekend was nothing special. It was cold and snowed on and off. I still have my fingers crossed that the weather lets up and I can get my car washed. I think I’ll have it run through twice (Yes, it’s that bad!).

Tomorrow I will call the vet and schedule Spunk’s yearly. He’s already giving me the stink eye ;).

I have to get in the kitchen and make dinner. I have to roll out my dough and make my pepperoni bread. Youngest is even gracing us with his presence tonight for dinner since he loves this bread :).

    Have a great evening!

    B.E., thanks for one-clicking :-)

Ugh on the insomnia, but glad you got one night of sleep. I hope that cured the no-sleep bug and you can rest up.

I really your snippet, very intriguing! And I finally got around to cleaning up my blogger profile so hopefully I can publish comments easier.

It’s a new week, let’s go take it on!

    Silver, thanks!!

Wow you had a weekend. But at least the temps are rising and the ferals are back and okay. Hopefully you won’t find any surprise damage from the freezing weather.

It’s AWESOME that you gave blood! I hadn’t thought of the blood supply being so low, but it makes sense. You very likely saved a life by doing it. I’m pulling for you to win the car even though I know that’s not why you did it. It’s just a bonus.

Kudos to the local businesses for offering the prizes too! It helps get the word out to remind people to give blood.

New book distractions are a super annoying gift that we love and hate. But writing is writing!

    Happy Monday!

Viki, thank you Viki. I appreciate all that you do!

I’m so routine, that I rarely look at the time in the morning, I just do it, LOL. Maggie likes structure too.

I sure hope the weather warms for a lot of reasons, including getting your car washed. They drive better clean :-)

Oh boy, Spunk’s not going to be happy about a trip to the vet. Here’s hoping he gets a clean bill of health.

Enjoy your pepperoni bread dinner and Youngest’s sparkling company!
