Weekend Roundup

Yep there was a weekend! Stuff happened, and then Monday showed up.

Two funny things: I was talking to my daughter-in-law who works at the vet. I was telling her that Maggie peed on the vet tech there. Honestly, it’s so embarrassing but Maggie submissive pees when she’s away from me. I warn them, but she looks so sweet and innocent, they pick her up, and a pee party happens. She does it to the groomers too. Anyhow, daughter-in-law tells me, “Oh I know. I was walking by the vet tech, and she said, ‘Your sister in law peed on me’!”

I cracked up. Calling Maggie her sister-in-law made my day. I always tease the boys that Maggie’s the sister they always wanted, so of course she’d be the sister-in-law of their wives :-) Also I love that the vet tech had a sense of humor about it.

Second funny thing. Wizard went racing. So I headed to the donut store, and unsure of which donut Turbo would like best, I bought two. Then I drove fifty miles to see him because I’m a freaking amazing grandma, right? I show up, I get a smile from my grandson, followed by “Grandma, where’s Grandpa?” Then a totally crestfallen face when I told him Grandpa was racing and it was just me. The kid was bummed. Once he got over that, we had fun :-)

There’s a new romance blog in town!  Everything Romance is launching today! Go check out my interview with a contest for a $25.00 (for U.S. residents) at Everything Romance Blog. There’s going to be events there all month long.

How was your weekend?

That’s funny about Maggie and what a great Tech! You’re lucky to have such an awesome vet clinic for your girl. Yay for racing and donuts and Turbo is too cute. You obviously need to bribe him more often so he asks Wiz where Grandma is. ;)

It was a weekend. I think I did stuff. I don’t really remember. Oh, there was spaghetti dinner at the Post Friday night. Jake got lots of pets. Saturday, Only and Baseball Boy got their first vaccine shot. Catholic teachers org did a pod because the state has opened to teachers. There were extras and with Only’s asthma and diabetes, she got in too as a spouse. LG got his Friday as a walk-in at VA, when he took another vet to get her second dose. I’m not pursuing it very hard but I’ll get mine eventually.

Sunday was listening to OSU softball on the radio and Day 1 of Spring Training games on TV. Cowgirls came back to win in extra innings and the Cardinals game ended in a 4-4 tie. There’s hope for Spring!

Have a great week, everyone! And I’m off to check the new blog. :)

That’s so cute! Your DIL is right though, Maggie is her SIL !

Oh no. I know that feeling. Harrison is a Paw Paw guy too. Turbo was bummed at first but then he got to have tons of fun with Grandma. And, you brought him a donut. That gives you extra grandma points :).

I liked your interview. How fun is it that you got to be the first interview for a new blog?

Harrison came over today for about 30 minutes in our driveway. He had fun until he took a stick and hit his father’s car. They left shortly after that. Boys like to show off. Too bad his father doesn’t remember when he did stuff like that ;).

    Have a wonderful afternoon!

    Silver, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I’m bribing Turbo as much as I can :-)

Yay for Baseball Boy and Only getting their first shots. I hope you can get yours soon too. It’s all progress!

Of course Jake got pets. He’s such a good boy!

I really hope your birthday is as special as you!

Viki, it’s really cute how they have such special relationships with their grandpas.

I was delighted that Carla asked me. She’s run a romance blog before and did a great job, so I’m excited she’s back in the game.

Yay for time to play with Harrison in the driveway! He sounds like a normal little boy, doing normal stuff. What boy out there wouldn’t pick up a stick and swing it at something? Isn’t it amazing how fast the parent forget?

    Happy Monday!
