Wednesday Reading Check In

Happy Wednesday! All is well here, but whew, I can’t keep up :-) Because Sunday and Monday were all about Turbo, Tuesday hit like a train! There just wasn’t enough hours to get everything done.

I also need to do pesky things like write a book, LOL.

So instead of writing a deep and compelling blog (are you laughing at me thinking I ever write that????), let’s just talk about reading :-)

I’m reading A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J Maas and loving it so far! I read the first book, A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES and liked it, but this one is really singing to me. I don’t dare pick it up in the day when I should be working, of I’d never stop reading.

Your turn, what are you reading? Do you love it? Hate it? Feel so, so?

Bonnie glock book 4 by a j Wallace. Not as good as I’d hoped. Can’t get involved with characters

I’ve been in something of a reading slump as far as new/unread books and authors so I’ve fallen back on old favorites. Currently, I’m jumping between Kristen Ashley’s Colorado Mountain series and her Rock Chick. Just finished BREATHE and there’s a Rock Chick crossover so currently listening to ROCK CHICK REVOLUTION before heading back to another CM book, skipping a couple of that series to get there. Yes, I’m weird. I’m sort of passing time until some new stuff on my radar hits in May. Hopefully, I’ll be in the right frame of mind to get into something new.

Happy Hump Day and Happy reading! 📚

I’ve been reading “THE QUEEN’S SECRET” by Melissa de la Cruz. It’s the second book in her Queen’s Assassin series. It’s pretty good.

I forgot to tell you on Monday that the furnace was fixed Saturday morning. There was a rock that fell into the thing and was keeping the motor blades from spinning. Since we have been rather cold for days now we are happy it’s fixed.

McAfee is back to not running correctly. I’ve spoken to them three times now and it’s still not fixed. Maybe tomorrow it will run correctly.

Oh, we had over 5 inches of snow over night but it’s melting fast.

Sure hope you’re having a great day!

Diane, that’s always frustrating when you can’t connect with the characters. I hope the next book you read captures your attention and won’t let go :-)

Silver, I skip around a lot in some series, so I don’t consider you weird. Other series, I have to read in order, it just depends.

I never did get into Rock Chick, but I suspect it was timing and if I tried again I’d probably have a totally different experience.

I’m sorry about your reading slump. I’ve been there so much lately that I savor books I really enjoy more than I used too. Hope you find a great next read!

Viki, I’m glad you’re enjoying THE QUEEN’S SECRET. I took a quick peek on Amazon and it looks interesting.

Good news that you got your heater fixed, but wow, that’s a new one to have a rock fall into the system. And that’s a lot of snow for April!! Crazy.

Dang, MacAfree is really being a troll. Maybe you’re going to have to uninstall, get rid of it and have them refund you. This aggravation is ridiculous.

Hope your week is going well despite the MacAfee nightmare.

Nope, my comment didn’t go through last night. Bummer.

Anyway, I’m reading a non-fiction book that’s pretty interesting, but I can only read it in short spurts. I just finished a cute fantasy – one of the Xanth books – and I need to find another fiction to offset the NF.

B.E., it must have been my website that ate your comment. But I guess it’s back this morning. Thanks again for alerting me!

I like NF, but tend to read or listen to those, and read fiction. Hope you find an absorbing fiction to read!
