Friday Five
TGIF! Let’s share five random things about our week.
- I saw Biker Witch yesterday, and enjoyed that.
- I also tried to look for pictures from our bedroom and that was a big huge fail. I’ll get something eventually. But I ran around wearing myself out when I’d rather have been writing.
- I jinxed myself, and my neck, shoulder, and arm are acting up with some radiating pain. Who knows why, it was just kind of an off week overall, and I cleaned plus yoga, so maybe I overdid. There was no specific moment where I felt any injury or sudden pain. Plus it’s hot and humid, so…it’s a mystery. I’m trying to rest it a little through the weekend but honestly, I suck at that, LOL!
- Maggie chased corner cat out of our back yard, then stood on the hill and did this tiny little “Arf” at the fence the cat escaped over. I cracked up. I mean she did a great job making the cat leave, but her bark was about as scary as a rabbit’s sneeze
- The plan is for Turbo and his mom to come hang out with us today! Yay!

Happy Mother’s Day to you, too! Yay for Turbo Time! LOL about Maggie’s bark. Boo for the pain and the timesuck that led nowhere. Yay for time with Biker Witch!
1) I have intermittent static in my landline. I had the tech out here, but he didn’t hear anything, so he said to call when I heard it again and he’d come out. I heard it again, so I tried calling and every time I got ‘voicemail not set up’. Argh.
2) We had a bunny in the yard! The bunnies usually disappear in the fall and come back in the spring, so it’s always a happy day when we see the first one of the year.
3) We also saw a raccoon. The raccoons usually return in the spring, too – looking for extra calories during the time when they’re having/nursing babies and need a boost.
4) I really need to get the gumption to weed again. The weeds are taking over.
5) We have a lovely bird stopping by the suet. I think it’s a tanager of some sort. It’s hard to identify because it’s not quite red all over. One of these days, I’ll get a picture of it. Whatever it is, it sings pretty.

Yay. B.E. beat me here this morning so what she said in response–I agree to all the things.
My five.
1. Long week. Glad it’s Friday. Nothing specific, just…stuff.
2. Lots of words. I’m over 80K now, through the weird stuffs, except for one more scene and then the makeup is pretty solid and it’s time to lasso the bad guy. Then The End.
3. No Stormy time. Baseball is over so Baseball Boy picks him up after school and takes him to Snapology. That said, Stormy is coming over Saturday afternoon and spending the night.
4. We’ll deliver him back to Only and BB when we meet up at the BiL/SiL’s for Mother’s Day lunch.
5. Gotta hit Wallyworld today. I can’t get dressed until I’m ready to go because Jake will get all anxious.
Going early to avoid the crowd. I hope.

1. Glad you were able to meet up with Biker Witch yesterday. Was coffee involved?
2. Sorry you weren’t able to get anywhere with the pictures. You know, they always seem to be found when we’re not really looking.
3. Oh no! I’m sure you’re taking it easy and doing good things to relieve to pain in your neck, shoulder, and arm. Sure hope you can nip the pain and be feeling better quickly.
4. A rabbit’s sneeze 🤣. Poor Maggie. I’m sure she sounded scary to the cat.
5. A Turbo start to Mother’s Day weekend – excellent!

1a. Well my sister in law does have bladder cancer and will be having it removed. Right now they can’t get her in until the very end of July. She’s #2 on a waitlist to get in sooner.
2a. Youngest is in Fort Meyers FL with his girlfriend. She and her father own a house down there. He keeps sending photos. Looks so nice.
3a. Middle is coming over for a couple hours Sunday. He feels one of them should see me on Mother’s Day. I’ve told them I’m fine but you know boys.
4a. I’ve been thinking about peach cobbler and peach pie for 3 days. Today I’m at the market where I buy my greens and there is this peach pie on a table right next to me all by it’s self. I took it as a sign and bought it.
5a. I have to come up with something to get hubs for his birthday. As of now it’s mixed nuts😁.
