Weekend Roundup

It’s a new week! And I have to start out by apologizing for not answering comments on Friday. I read them on my phone but didn’t get to my desktop to answer. My bad, but I loathe trying to answer on my phone :-)

I hope everyone who is a Mom had a great Mother’s Day!

The weekend was good. Friday, Turbo and his mom came over to hang out. That boy melts my heart. He takes me hand and asks me to play with him…and that’s what I do. Of course, Turbo loves going to “Maggie’s house” and spends a lot of the day playing with her. One of his favorite things is her “zooming” up and down the stairs. By the time Turbo went home, both Turbo and Maggie were exhausted, LOL!

Mother’s Day was nice. We went to breakfast, then I came home and made an apple pie to take to my mother-in-law’s house later in the day. After that Youngest and his wife came over for awhile, they are always fun to see. Then we headed out to Wizard’s mom’s and spent a great afternoon with her and some family. She seemed to really enjoy a homemade pie. I just wanted to take her something even though she’s at a place in her life where she doesn’t need or want much.

How was your weekend?

I’m so glad you had a nice Mother’s Day weekend with family. :hugs:

Things were quiet here. I said my Happy Mother’s Day to Mom on Friday because she was going to be busy with my sisters on Sunday. I spent Saturday baking and reading. Yesterday, I did nothing. Oh, except I took loads of bird pictures, which was fun.

And now I want pie. ;o)

EVERYONE can use a home-made apple pie no matter wehre they are in life! Just sayin’… ;)

Yay for Turbo-Maggie zooms and family time. That’s what it’s all about, yeah?

We had Stormy Saturday afternoon and he spent the night. Then the James Gang and a few members of the good SiL’s family all met up at BiL/SiL’s for burgers, dogs, and all the trimmings. The drama llamas all stayed home so it was fun, relaxing, and good times.

I’m doing a cover reveal later today because Only got my cover to me Friday and I spent Satruday morning playing with graphics. Heck, I even got the rough draft of the blurb written but it sucks. Hopefully, the book doesn’t. Got work to do this week.

Have a great one all! 🥰

How nice that you made Wizard’s mom an apple pie. I bet she loved it. Totally agree that once we get to a certain age we really don’t need or want anything so it’s very hard to find the right gift. I think you nailed it with the pie 😊.

So Turbo takes your hand to lead you in play. Harrison does that too. I find it very sweet. Poor tot and pup must have been exhausted after their fun filled day.

Middle came over yesterday and decided that my motherboard is the issue as to why I can’t stay connected to the internet. Since the computer is over 5 years old he has decided I need a new one. He says it will be so fast I won’t know what hit me 😂. I just need to find the money and order it.

Youngest and girlfriend return from FL tonight. They had a great time. Eldest and DIL have banned us all from coming near them since youngest lives on our third floor and was in Florida. Sorry, but they’re insane. We’re all vaccinated except youngest so we should all be fine but can’t say anything :(.

I love Maggie’s reaction to being told she needs to get a job to pay for her food. That is a great photo you took.

    Have a wonderful afternoon!

B.E., thanks. I’m mostly glad we were able to get out to Wizard’s moms. I wanted to prioritize that this year.

I saw you had baked Apple bread (I think) when I was scrolling on my phone. You are the queen of baking!

Glad you were able to get your Happy Mother’s Day in with your mom before your sister snagged her on Sunday :-) That’s the downside of living farther away from parents. And yay for spending Mother’s Day doing something you enjoyed!

Silver, that was kind of how I felt, I mean who says no to apple pie :-)

I love family parties like that! Awesome that you guys got to do it! I’m always good with the drama lamas staying home. I just don’t have time or energy for that kind of emotional vampirism these days.

I have to get over and see your new cover! Today was one of those days when I blinked and it’s 2pm. Like…how??? But yay for a new cover!!!

Viki, it must be an age thing to take us by our hand, but it sure is adorable. Harrison sure seems to love you and his grandpa! They are so much fun, and at this age, really thrive with our attention.

My computer is older than five and really slow, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Middle is correct. It sounds like you really need to do it, but the price tag is a definite OUCH. I’m hoping to put it off another year.

No reason to be sorry here. I feel for you, and I’m sorry you’re caught in the middle of your kids conflicting viewpoints on this. I’m hearing this kind of thing in a lot of families.

Thanks on Maggie :-) She makes us laugh with her silliness.

I did make apple bread. And chocolate chip cookies. But not pie. I kind of suck at pie.
