Wednesday Bright Spots

Another day got away from me. Some of it is me trying to deep clean plus a lot of life keeps popping up, so I’m going to write a quick blog sharing a couple bright spots in my week:

  1. When were were visiting Turbo, we were all having lunch, and Turbo announced, “Grandma and Grandpa can’t leave until it’s dark outside.” It was so cute, he really wanted us to stay the whole entire day. We had to go home and take care of Maggie, but it’s so sweet. These years will pass so quickly.
  2. I took Maggie in for a bath and the owner is so awesome. She knows Maggie’s name, but not mine, LOLOL! I’m good with that. She was calling her Maggie Happy Pants, which is true since Maggie’s always happy. And when I picked her up, she talked about how Maggie’s getting older. That may not sound particularly nice, but what I love is that she’s so invested in Maggie that she recognizes every little change in her.

So those were too bright spots in my moving-too-fast week. How about you?

Awww… Turbo’s so awesome. And so is Maggie. I love that they call her Maggie Happy Pants. And while she may be getting older, every day she’s spent with you has been full of love. :hugs:

Awww. Sweet Turbo and Maggie’s friend, too. And Maggie, of course!

Bright spots? Hrm… Had to call the plumber for a line clog. They got here just over an hour after the call (had a job in front of us but they must have been almost finished cuz they got here quick!). We have this clog about every two years so I know exactly where to dig. LOL They were done in less than an hour and only charged us a regular service call. Also, it was sunny and nice while the cold front hit just after midnight and it’s only going to get frigid from here. Good timing!

Also, LG got around to putting up the Ring camera over the garage. Now I can check out both sides of the house via camera. We’ve had a little stray dog, a big fat raccoon, and our cauldron of black ferals. Yes, I have a new toy.

Happy Hump Day and may there be many bright spots for all! 🥰

I agree, it’s so cute how the little ones never want you to leave :).

You’re right about the groomer too. She should know Maggie’s name and not yours. After all, Maggie is the client.

It finally really looks like winter here with all the snow. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow and then go right back into the single digits, also known as January.

Did you see my correction post over on Monday’s blog?

I hope you have a great afternoon.

Silver, I really do appreciate Maggie’s groomer. She opened that business out of a real love for animals that’s genuine and I totally respect that. She can and will talk about any animal in there, and it’s always a joy to see her.

Your plumber experience is a bright spot! So glad it was a straightforward and relatively inexpensive fix. Plumbing issues can get out of control so quickly.

Yay for your cameras! My son has ring, and I hear all about their nighttime critters, LOL. It really is interesting and I hope you have loads of fun with it. It’s also a very good safety feature.

    Happy Wednesday!

Viki, the love of the little ones really is a gift. And so true on Maggie’s groomer. I always leave Maggie feeling like they’ll do their best to take care of her. There’s a lot of other dogs around and things could happen, but if it does, it won’t be from lack of caring and trying. That’s very reassuring to me.

It’s nice that you will get a day of warmer temps before getting back to single digit. That’s too cold!

Yes I did see your correction! I’m glad you told me, because I couldn’t remember if Carol Burnett or Viki Lawrence had played Eunice.

That’s so funny that you had pretty much the same experience as me with your kid’s reaction to your perm :-)

I saw that on the Covid tests. I actually went on and was going to fill it out, then had second thoughts. But I’ll do it. My second thoughts are rooted in general crankiness that’s pretty much causing me to cut my nose off to spite my face, LOL.

Hope it doesn’t get too cold there by the end of the week!
