I had a weird thing happen at Costco. It’s only weird because it hasn’t happened in a long time.
While checking out I noticed the checker’s name was Norma. All I thought at the time was, “Hmm, I haven’t seen that name in a long time.”
Then I went to the guy who checks the receipt on our way out to make sure we’re not stealing. (It’s so freaking annoying after just spending a big chunk on money). His name was Frank. Okay, well that’s a pretty common name.
I was freed from Costco, loaded my loot and jumped in the car. On the way home, two characters, Frank and Norma, popped into my head. I don’t know anything about them, except this is unlikely to be romance because those aren’t names I’d pick for a romance. I don’t even know what they’re doing except hanging around and making me ask a lot of questions.
So that was my unexpected, but welcome, company. I don’t expect anything to come of this pop in visit, but it sure was fun to let them keep me company as I drove home from Costco. We’ll see if they stick around nor not

I think Frank and Norma could be a romance. He’s a steel worker trying to get a college education so he can pursue his dream of becoming an architect and she’s a librarian who sculpts with metal in secret. He helps her, she helps him and love ensues.
Heh. I’d write it, but I suck at romance. It’s nice to know the ideas are starting to flow again, though. =oD

Heh. I miss those unexpected drop-ins and B.E. has a good idea. It could be a romcom. I don’t do romcoms, I do paranormal so Frank and Norma would be the adoptive parents who freak out when their adopted child is:
a. A changling
b. A shifter
c. A witch

That’s so sweet.
I agree with B.E. and Silver. When I read the post early tis morning I was thinking on the lines of B.E. and Frank being a laborer of some sort that gets lunch or coffee at Norma’s diner. I think it could be really cute.
So far Wednesday hasn’t been too bad. I was able to get hubs to go with me and get his blood drawn for the neurologist. He was fine for two days and then this morning he gave me a hard time. The phlebotomist was super happy and fun. She knew what she was dealing with and handle it great.
It’s hotter than blue blazes. Sure hope it ends sooner than they say.
The fire in NM is so awful. I pray for all of those people.

Silver, that would have been my go-to in romance land, but I already did a dad freaking out at his daughter being a witch.
And if I had to choose, I’d go for changeling for no logical reason except it sounds fun right now!
