We had a good weekend, except for Wizard’s cold and cough. It seems to be running it’s course, but it’s not fun for him.
Saturday I finally broke down and bought a small weight bench. The makeshift one I was using wasn’t the safest set up! I consulted on weight bench with Youngest since he works out at home and he approved it. He also offered to help me pick it up. I am proud to announce I was able to get it all by myself Well, okay, the guy who worked at the store put it in the car for me, but I carried it in the house with no problem.
Now we just have to assemble it, hopefully today. Wizard will help because he wants to, and he wants to make sure it’s safe. I’m thinking he doesn’t fully trust me, LOL. But I’ll take the help!
Sunday I went to Oldest’s house to hang out with Turbo. I haven’t had a chance to just chill with my grandson in a while and that was fun. They told me that with all the viruses Turbo and his friends bring home, they weren’t worried about me spreading Wizard’s cold. It was such a nice day! I watched Turbo play Minecraft (a video game), then we went outside and played some catch and kickball (I watched because I didn’t want to reinjure my ankle that’s healing so well), and finally we went to lunch followed by a trip to buy Turbo a small toy. I loved the low key easy day! I got home two hours later than I thought I would, but Wizard was fine. He ate soup and slept a lot. He probably got more rest with me gone.
Today I hope to get to Trader Joes, assemble the weight bench if Wizard is up to it, maybe buy some heavier weights, and we’d like to draw up a yearly budget for things beyond our standard monthly stuff. It’s not set in stone, but it helps us narrow down things we’d like to do and figure out if we can budget it. It also helps motivate us to actually do them. A lot of people would hate that, but we found it works for us. I know some couples feel stressed just trying to plan ahead. To each their own!
I miss Baby Girl but I don’t want to risk getting her or her parents sick while she’s still so young. She’ll be there when this virus leaves. So far, I’m fine, but there’s no predicting if I’ll get sick or not.
Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve! I can’t believe it! We plan to stay home and I should be here on New Year’s Day if any of you are around.
How was your weekend?

Poor Wizard and that nasty cold. He’s such a good guy helping you assemble the bench even though he isn’t feeling well. Keeping you safe – protector🥰.
I bet Turbo loved having good quality time with you. HIs parents are so right about the virus spreading with kids and that if anything you might pick something up from the kids.
I thought I was all set for New Years until yesterday when I noticed that hubs one pill would run out today. I put in a request to refill through his Dr. Sunday (2am) via my Chart but it’s almost 3 pm Mon and they still haven’t done anything. I called and got put on three different holds for about 27 mins before I spoke to someone and was told that it should be sent to the pharmacy by the end of the day. The thing is, if hubs doesn’t have his pill at EXACTLY 10 am, he gets all freaked out. It doesn’t matter how many times the doctor tells him that he just has to take it in the morning, 10 am is the mark. So, I have my fingers crossed that it gets filled and I can pick it up at 9 am tomorrow and be home with it before 10. Wish me luck.
C & C are going to come for dinner on New Years. They had had plans but the rescheduled them for around Valentine’s Day. I’m still only going to do 1/2 the roast.
I hope you are having a good day and staying healthy.

Poor Wiz. Seeminly minor stuff seems to linger on the older we get. Streaming healing thoughts his direction! Yay for weight benches, Turbo Time™, Youngest advice, and here’s hoping stuff passes so you can see BG soon!
My weekend was lowkey. LG went north to help the Kids do some maintenance stuff. Things happened. I’m glad I wasn’t there.
I’m hoping to wrangle the clutter that always accumulates (that I’m terrible when it comes to procrastination and not dealing with!). I try to declutter one small area a day. So far, there’s only been on big area and the small areas have been tiny. I’m such a sloth when it comes to that stuff.
No writing of import. I hope to do some today here in a bit.
I managed to sleep late two days. By late, I mean 7 a.m.
We watched “Red One” last night on ‘Zon Prime. It was funny and we enjoyed (LG for the 2nd time). LG treated me to Jersey Mike’s “bring home” for dinner.
On that note, I need to finally get off the intrawebz and do something semi-productive besides setting out the chicken breasts to thaw for dinner–fried chicken and mashed taters. MMMmmm good!
Here’s to a good week for us all!

Viki, thanks on Wizard. He’s feeling a lot better today. The cough will likely hang around, but it’s good to see him feeling better. He built the weight bench today and I just helped It should work great.
There’s so much stuff going around right now, that I agree with Turbo’s parents too It’s different with babies.
Man, that’s frustrating. We have refills sneak up on us like that so I know how easily it happens. I really hope it’s done in time tomorrow so Hubs doesn’t get thrown off his day (and you!!). Managing his condition is so hard, and you do better than I could!
It sounds lovely to have C&C there for New Years since their plans got pushed back. I hope you guys have a great day!

Silver, I was thinking that same thing about stuff lingering when we’re older. Also I should get him on a multi vitamin — it won’t prevent illness entirely, but it might give him a tiny edge.
Hmm, well I’m glad you missed the part where “stuff happened” with LG and the kids. I’m assuming the stuff was actually mishaps. I’m usually glad I missed that stuff too. Hope all ended well.
You’re making progress on taming the clutter and that’s good enough! We don’t have to live in perfect spaces, just spaced that feel good to us.
You’ll get to writing! Christmas was a lot and we’re all getting back on track. And rest is good for your creativity too.
I’m jealous that you slept late But also happy for you!
I just saw that movie title on Amazon a couple days ago. We haven’t watched it yet, but now maybe we will! Nice that LG got you Jersey Mike’s!
Dinner sounds good! Enjoy!
