I wrote a full post, scheduled it to publish, and it vanished. Man, if only I could make my mistakes vanish like that!
So I finally started reading ONYX STORM by Rebecca Yarros. This is the third book in her series and I love it so far. I am struggling to remember a couple details of the world she built. It would have been better to reread the first two books, but did I do that? Of course not! I’m too impatient! I’m usually pretty good at figuring it out, and if know, then I’ll reread all three books.
Other than that, I’ve been listening to a non fiction that I’m ready to DNF. This book came out nearly two years ago, hit many bestseller lists and got influencers all excited. But I knew it wasn’t for me, then one day, I woke up stupid and bought it. Now I live in regret, and sadly, I can’t make that mistake vanish like Blogger did with my original post that it rudely zapped into the ether.
That’s my reading, what are you reading?

Gak! I hate when that happens. LOL, I hear ya on not remembering details from previous books in a series – but it’s usually my own series and I have to refer back to the series notes or go back and re-read to catch myself up. Ugh, sorry you had a downer experience with that NF.
I haven’t been reading anything lately. I keep saying it’s because I’m editing my own book, but that’s just a lame excuse. I mean, I have plenty of time to watch TV, so reading a book wouldn’t tax my brain or my time. Derp.

My fingers have discovered some weird combination of keys that makes whole paragraphs and blocks disappear. Sometimes I can get them back with Undo. Sometimes not. When the intrawebz eats a post though? Yeah, you’re out there in the universe without a spaceship.
Yes, I have had one cup of coffee. Do you think I need more?
Reading. I’m still doing the Pern dragon riders. I’ll admit it’s slow going, not because I’m not invested but because…deadlines! Even self-imposed ones. And I just got my vehicle back–ooh…I need a Starbucks run before Friday because stars expire and I need free coffee!
Sorry, where was I? Oh, yeah. I’m on DRAGONQUEST at the moment with a couple of hours left to listen. Up next will be THE WHITE DRAGON.
Heh. This must be a draconic week. I tried the 1st Yarros book but the 1st person present just…nope! Also sorry about the DNF. Hope you continue to enjoy your current read!

B.E., thanks. That nonfiction book was totally my own fault! Sometimes my love for books overrides my respect for my own taste
I go thought not reading and totally get it. I don’t watch TV much but I watch way too many YouTube vids. So…same thing!

Silver, YES!!! I’ve accidently deleted pages with some random combination of key strikes i couldn’t replicate in a hundred years. That panic is real, LOLOL. Thank goodness of undo! That’s saved my butt a few times. But occassionally, I typed too far before I realized what happened and I’m doomed. I’ll take a vanished blog any day over pages of our WIPs!
Everyone needs more than one cup!
Dragon riders are ruling right now And I totally get not liking first person. I always read a sample of any first person to make sure it works for me. In general, I prefer third person, but most YA is first person — or at least that’s been my experience.
Yay for having your car back!! Hope you were able to get to Starbucks, or get there soon!

I’m sorry you got caught in a crummy read. I hate when that happens. I have noticed that you give them more of a chance than I do 😄.
I have Onyx Storm and hope to be reading it in the next day or two. Good to know that you are enjoying it. I loved the first two books so I’m sure I’ll love this one too.
I hope all went well with the table.
Have a great afternoon!

Viki, sometimes I give it time, other times, I stop on the first couple pages This one began with some promise, then fell off a cliff for me.
I think I’ve reading 9 or 10 chapters of Onyx Storm, and so far, it’s written in the same intense, fast paced style as the first two. So hopefully you’ll enjoy it. I only put it down last night because I needed to take my contacts out and dislike struggling to read in my glasses.
Table is a process but so far, so good!
