It was a good weekend. Friday, I had an excellent discussion with my surgeon. My blood work and scans indicate I’m doing well with no signs of any more bad cells, and we’ll rescan again in six months. I’m very happy and grateful for that. I wish all of us with evil rogue cells had the same outcome. I can’t even describe how much I wish that.
Saturday we made it to Turbo’s baseball game! He got two hits, and made a good play at third that ultimately didn’t get the other player out but it was a good attempt. It’s fun seeing the separate skills he’s been working on starting to come together in complex plays! Turbo’s dad was the umpire and had the nerve to call my grandson out. I complained to the umpire who promptly laughed in my face Truthfully he made the right call, and I was of course just teasing him.
And Maggie wants you all to know that she went to Turbo’s game too. She was a very good girl, and mostly just laid on the grass between our chairs. After the game, Turbo walked Maggie back to our car and was amazed at Maggie’s “bed” in the back. I explained the back seats fold down and we put a quilt over them, but he had never seen it done that way before. It just blew his mind, LOL! It was also really cute the way Maggie will just walk away from me with Turbo, where if anyone else takes her, I usually have to tell her to go. Turbo wants her to be their team dog, which is pretty cute.
I also wanted to just point out that Oldest, aka CPA boy, is deep in tax season and barely has time to breathe or eat, but he makes time to be at, and help out at, his son’s baseball game. I love that! I also that love that his wife makes that possibly by handling everything else in there lives, so they definitely work together as a team. It hasn’t always been easy for them to find a way to make it all work, but they kept adapting and adjusting to find a way, and I’m proud of them for it.
Sunday Wizard and I went out to breakfast and did normal stuff. Rain is forecasted for three or four days this week, and I’m sure it’ll rain on Thursday when we are going to Baby Girl’s but that’s okay — she’s worth the hassle, and so is my daughter in law. She deserves a break to take care of herself.
How was your weekend?

YAYAYAYAY!!! *shakes pompoms* 🥳 Awesome news from the dog.Yay for Turbo Time™, baseball, and arguing with umpires.
Kudos to Oldest for umpiring and being fair. It’s tough enough coaching your own kid but to umpire a game? Good on him! Team Maggie for the win! Jake goes to all of Stormy’s stuff and the kids love him. Oldest has some great role models and he picked the perfect one so they fit. I’m not surprised by any of this. Yay for upcoming Baby Girl Time™, and maybe some gentle rain? Not too much. Just enough.
My Cowgirls had a double header Friday afternoon/night. Sadly, they lost both games. It rained here all day Saturday. I did some fun research for the new book. Things are coming together. (Saving most of that for Friday.
)
Sunday, the sun was shining but it was DST day and I was (still am) dragging. Cowgirls played the 3rd game of their series and won big time so redemption! I never could get my motor running and ended up taking a massive nap.
Still feel time hangover this morning and I’m slowly getting my brain to come on line. Oh! Stormy! This was his first overnight travel tournament. They lost the first game, came back and won the next two but got edged out of the championship bracket by the team that beat them. That team went undefeated. Ah well. Only said Stormy played well and had fun and that’s all that matters. Oh, he bought a tournament shirt with the spending money Big Daddy sent with him. Now he can say, “Been there, did that, got the T-shirt!”
Have a great week. I’m looking at more research on the setting for the books. It’ll be fun, and it’s helping settle some of the plot in my head.

Excellent news from your surgeon. I hear you on those evil rogue cells. I always have it in the back of my mind that they can always resurface.
Sounds like Turbo is going to be a very good player if that’s what he decides to do. How wonderful that his dad puts in the time with the team and is also a fair umpire. It’s easy to picture you teasing him about calling Turbo out 😊.
Good girl Maggie. I bet she loved being at the game. The trust she has in Turbo is nice to see. She’s a sweetheart.
I’m happy you will be getting rain but I hope it’s not too heavy. Seeing baby girl and giving DIL a break will be a nice treat for the week.
My weekend was pretty much normal. C did come over w/o his C. She’s sick with that might be a cold might be the flu thing. C shocked me because he came over an put the new composter together in 10 minutes with no help. Tis thing is 111 gals. Twice the size of my current one so it should work well for me. I compost everything I can, always have.
I got my hair done Friday and feel asleep while she was drying it. I did one of those head nods. Embarrassed, yup.
Wednesday I have to take my car in for a recall repair. They recalled it 16 months ago but just now got the TWO screws that need to be replaced. Yup, it’s only two screws but they keep the rails in the back from possibly detaching in an accident and harming someone.
It’s a beautiful sunny warm (61F) day. It should be rather nice most of the week.
I hope you are having a great day!

Silver, we do need the rain so I’m not complaining. And I want to see Baby Girl
Turbo and Maggie have fun together and I love that! And thank you on the role models comment — I do want to give credit where it’s due though as they are putting in the daily work now and we have the easier job as grandparents!
Bummer about the losses for your Cowgirls. Hopefully they’ll rally at the next game. And looking forward to hearing details on the new project Friday! Also — planning is the fun part if we can do it without pressure.
I know you struggle with the time change. I’m sorry! My body shifts pretty easily, partly because I’m a morning person by nature. I was already waking earlier than usual. But I know for you (and others), the struggle is real.
It sounds like the tournament was a positive experience for Stormy and that’s what counts! With his mom there, I really didn’t have any doubt about that. How cute that he bought a shirt as a memento with his money — love that!
Have fun researching!

Viki, yep, reoccurrence is a real concern, but mindset is important. I think you believe that too, or appear too. Our bodies do a lot for us and deserve a reasonable amount of trust as long as we’re listening when it tells us stuff.
Teasing oldest is definitely fun for me, LOL! I didn’t do it in front of Turbo, though. I believe he needs to respect the calls even if he disagrees (disagreeing is fine as long as it’s respectful).
Maggie and Turbo have always had a bond, and I love that. I wonder if she’ll be the same with Baby Girl since she’s older. She’s not around the baby as much as she was Turbo.
Oh boy, nodding off is never what we plan! But I would bet you’re not the only one who has done that. I’m sure she sees it often!
Wow C is a whiz at this stuff! It sounds like it’ll be a good composter for you. Hope it works as planned!
It’s crazy how long we have to wait for these recall repairs. And the letters always sound so urgent. I’m glad your is finally getting done! But seriously, all for two screws? But I guess it all matters.
You guys deserve a week of nice weather! I’m happy for you! Enjoy!
