I needed something light and funny, and this fits the bill for me: STORY OF MY LIFE by Lucy Score. Humor is so very subjective. Stuff one person finds funny another can find stupid, insulting, annoying or plain boring. But I find this book funny in this moment where I’ve been listening and reading way too serious stuff lately.
And a Wizard update, he went to Barnes and Noble alone and bought three books. I mean…weird. But I love it for him! And this slew of books looks interesting to me so it’s also a win for me 
But I will wait until he’s done. He bought the books so he gets first dibs on reading them.
Still…if you’d asked me years ago if Wizard would turn into a “real reader” I’d have said no — not like me. And then, like a good husband, he proved me wrong!

I’m glad you found a light and fun read. You are right about people and their take on funny.
Wow, Wizard is really surprising you with reads. I think it’s wonderful that he’s become a reader. I wish my hubs had, but no. Ha Ha – yes, Wizard gets dibs on the books first since he bought them. It looks like your taste in reads is getting on the same path 😊.
I just got Onyx Storm back. I am going to try my hardest to keep awake and finish this book!
I took hubs on a “field trip” today. We went to the local chocolate makers out in Amish land. It’s only 20 minutes from here but the homemade chocolate is to die for. I had hubs pick out a bunny for Harrison. If all goes well, hubs will be going down there with C Friday and can deliver it to Harrison for me.

Yay for light and fun reading. And yay for Wiz “figuring it out.”
Double yay for you liking the books too. LG has always been a reader though he’s “slipped” some in the past few years. Like me, eyesight becomes an issue. I’m trying to convince him to try audio books. I’m still doing the whole Kate Daniels dramatized audio series. These books are my current catnip.

Viki, yay for getting Onyx Storm back! But the struggle to stay awake is real. My ability varies each day/night I try to read.
What a cool field trip! I hope you both enjoyed it. And I hope he is able to make the trip with C and deliver Harrison’s Easter stuff! I have some stuff for Turbo too, and hope to remember to take it Saturday if we go to his game and then his house afterward (if I can keep it from melting).

Silver, Wizard mostly read on airplanes or something like that for pleasure. It’s a joy to see him really digging in now. But eyesight is still a limiting factor for him too — that’s why he goes to bookstores to see the print before he buys. So we totally sympathize with you and LG on that.
It’s great that you have a catnip read! We all need them.
