Yep the weekend happened
Saturday we went to Turbo’s game, where he got two hits and scored two runs. He also scooped up a ground ball and threw it to first. His aim was slightly off, but I was proud of the play! After that, we went to his house and where I gave him his Easter basket, then he and Wizard played with his RC truck while I had fun looking at kitchen makeover plans with Special K. My son emerged from the dungeon CPA’s live in this time of year, and told me that his clients have shared with him that they like giving their kids their inheritance while the parents were still there to watch the kids enjoy the money. I laughed and told him nice try trying trying to soak his elderly, retired parents for the kitchen renovation. Then I went right back to finding way to make my daughter in law’s new kitchen as expensive as possible.
Going back to the baseball game, I was the blazing idiot who forgot to put sunscreen on my arms before I went to the game and burned my arms burned. I’m so irritated at myself over this. I’ve been trying hard to protect my skin, and this was just dumb. Also not fun. On the upside I had a great sunscreen on my face and neck that I wear daily so I guess it could have been worse.
Just for fun, CeeGee’s mom sent me a pic of CeeGee wearing the outfit I got her. She’s with her dad, my middle son, in this pic. Personally, I think she pulls off that outfit fabulously, but I could be a tad biased
Sunday, I was so tired. That is also my fault because I was reading and forgot to go to sleep It’s been a long time since I lost track of time while reading, so I didn’t mind that. Anyhow, I stayed home Sunday to avoid the sun until the burn calms down. Well I did run to Target to get some aloe vera gel, which does help. Otherwise, I spent the day cleaning my pantry and searching for possible pet friendly hotels if we go on a 4th of July trip with Middle son. I’m annoyed, but not surprised, already by the prices. We’ll see what we decide to do.
That’s my weekend, how was yours?

Your granddaughter has a great smirk. All of you are in a lot of trouble.

Sounds like you had a fun weekend – even with the sunburn. Yay for aloe vera… slather that stuff everywhere. OMG, your grandbaby is awesome. I love the look on her face. She’s ready to take on the world and she knows it. You go, babygirl.
We didn’t do much this weekend. I spent some time weeding and trying to get my neglected gardens back into some kind of shape. Today, more weeding. Weeding is a neverending job, but this is ridiculous. So many weeds. On the upside, my recently planted gladiolas are starting to come up. Yay. Have a great day today!

Yay for a great baseball game. WTG, Turbo! Yay for family visits and kitchen plans! CeeGee is adorable! That smile will bring the boys to the yard!
Dad looks like he can take them on.
And yeah, she totally rocks that outfit. Smart to mostly stay in and be productive.
Weekend? Oh. Yeah. Stormy had soccer. They won and everyone played great. I mostly stayed in and tried to play catch up on computer stuffs. My eyes are not having a happy spring. It happens. I did laundry. These days, I consider that a big deal.
Hoping for a more productive week. We’ll see. Have a good, all!

Marianne, thanks! That smirk is an exact copy of her dad’s. In this pic, Middle was smiling, not smirking, but trust me, that smirk is her dad’s fault

B.E., I love that aloe vera! Although the burn is rapidly improving, thanks. And I agree, CeeGee will take on the world
Isn’t it crazy how much work gardens take??? But you’re up to the challenge, and you’re a much better gardener than I am. Yay for your gladiolas! It almost feels worth the work when our plant babies bloom!
Hope your week is off to a great start!

Silver, thanks Turbo is doing really well and we love to see it. I’m especially loving that he usually makes a quick decision and commits to the play. While he is still learning, he’s developing some confidence. CeeGee will be well protected by her dad
And her mom will make sure she gets to actually experience some fun because dad is so going to be overprotective, LOL.
Yay for Stormy and his team! I know he’s playing at a more advanced level and the challenge is real. I’m sorry your eyes are suffering from spring.
Laundry never ends. Ever. But you deserve kudos for getting it done.
Hope your Monday is off to a great start!

Good job Turbo! I’m so glad you were able to see him play. You are so quick on picking up on what middle was hinting at. I love that you went on to help pick out very expensive make-over plans for the kitchen. Would one call you a tricky witch😉?
Oh no on the sunburn. I hope the aloe is helping.
CeeGee looks adorable. She’s one cutie!
Nothing really happened here this weekend.
I keep looking to see if the State has cashed my checks. Fingers are crossed they do tomorrow.
C and I went to Home Depot to look at the washer and dryer but only saw the washer. It seems they no longer put out dryers on display. That’s just stupid. I have to decide what I’m doing. The old ones still work but I don’t want to be caught with one breaking. Buying new will be around $2K. I have to decided soon.
I hope you are having a great day!

Viki, my kids were definitely call me that! LOL.
My sunburn is so much better today. But the aloe vera is really helping. Not being stupid and applying sunscreen would have helped more…but stupid I was!
I hope your check shows up cashed soon! I know you’ve been worrying about it. I personally think it should be by postmark, but I guess that would require a lot of manpower to check it.
That irritates me so much how the stores are displaying less. I need to see certain things to make a decision — especially bigger $ purchases. And like you, I’d worry about the washer or dryer quitting on me. I hope you can make the right decision soon.
My day has been good, and I hope yours is even better!
