Weekend Roundup

It was a decent weekend. I had a nice Mother’s Day, including a lovely breakfast with Youngest and his wife. They then came by the house so Youngest could look at the spot where I want him to build a deck. He’s going to try to do it this year which makes me so happy. Oh and they brought me a stunning purple orchid plant I’m terrified of killing :-)  I shall research spells to keep it alive and thriving!

Also youngest daughter in law talked about a (inexpensive) girls trip. We talk about this often but don’t do it — that needs to change! Life is too short to not do it.

The downside of the weekend, Wizard is sick with a cold that’s been going through our family. Two grandkids really help spread viruses, LOL. Who knows if I’ll get it, right now I’m way more focused on Wizard — three colds in six months tells me his immune system is rundown. I seem to be doing fine, so even if I get the cold, it’ll pass in the normal fashion.

How was your weekend and Mother’s Day?

Yay for a nice Mother’s Day! I’m so glad you had a happy one. :hugs: and Ooo pretty! I’ve never seen an orchid that color before. (Although, I admit I haven’t seen that many orchids. LOL) I’m sending you happy growing thoughts to keep it alive. You should do a girls’ trip thing. I bet it would be a blast. Sorry to hear Wizard’s got the crud. Kids really are little germ spreaders, bless their hearts. I hope he feels better soon and that you don’t get it.

We had a nice weekend. I pushed my newest book out into the world on Saturday and then just chilled. Sunday, we called our moms and stuff, but for the most part, I ignored that it was Mother’s Day.

That’s a beautiful orchid! I’d send grow spells your way but…black thumb. So glad it was a good weekend with family time. Yay for a deck coming eventually. I vote for a girls trip ASAP! Boo on poor Wiz’s cold situation. It does seem like he’s been susceptible a bunch this year. Hope he’s on the mend soon!

We had beautiful weather, soccer, naps, and listening to books. It was a good time.

    Have a great week!

Beautiful Orchid! I love the color. I’m happy to hear that you had a nice Mother’s Day.

Sorry to hear that Wizard has that dog gone cold. Sure hope it doesn’t linger and that you don’t get it.

A girls trip sounds like fun. Would it be a weekend trip?

My Mother’s Day was good. C picked me up and we went to the range. We killed the target😉.

Saturday I planted my tomatoes. They are happy in planters on the deck just like last year.

Today has been busy trying to catch up on all the stuff that didn’t get done over the weekend.

Tomorrow I have to go meet with my bank guy. I got several things in the mail today about the investment I just made and I don’t know what I’m looking at so I’ll get him to explain it all to me.

    Have a great afternoon!

Silver, I just hope I can inspire to the Orchid to live. I really need to read up on them — and hide my black thumb from it, LOL. I need to figure out some ideas for a girl’s trip — I’m pushing Wizard and youngest to do a boy’s trip. We’ll see. Oh and Wizard is feeling better today so he should recover in the normal cold timeline.

Yay for the good weather, good books, fun soccer and naps!! All those make for a good weekend!

    Happy Monday!

Viki, it’d just be a couple or three days, and we’d work it around her work schedule. She sometimes works on the weekend. We’ll see what happens.

Sure sounds like you and C had a great day at the shooting range! Glad you hit your targets.

Yay for getting the tomatoes in. Seems like last year they did really well for you, so you should have a great crop this year too.

Monday always feel like catch up days to me.

Smart to go have the bank go over the investment info you got with you. It’s important to understand the accounts, and any changes that may be made by the bank.

Hope the rest of your day is great!
