It seemed like a busy weekend…
Friday, we looked at laptops, and I think I know what I want (we will both use it). We happened to get lucky, and talk to a really knowledgeable guy who really outlined pros and cons and spent as much time as we needed even though we made it clear we were not buying at that moment. I love good customer service. We will make a decision this week or next week. We also stopped by my hair saloon so I could make another hair appt for the end of the month.
Saturday I took Youngest his brownie cookies. When I pulled up to his house, he was in the garage working on the frames for our new deck. I was surprised he was already working on it! At this pace, it’ll be done in a few weeks. Later, we were in his backyard, and I saw him getting antsy. I told him to go work, I’m hanging out and talking to his wife and mom in law. He happily returned to his man cave AKA garage. Then I stayed like another hour and half chatting with them while he worked on my deck. That sounds fair right? LOL! We appreciate all he’s doing, and he really enjoys doing it.
That afternoon, he brought the frame over to our house. Maggie was thrilled to see him! We got the frame safely stored, and talked for a while.
Sunday, Wizard and I went to breakfast, then we (mostly me) moved a bunch of rock to begin prepping the dirt area where the frame will go, then Wizard went with Youngest and Wife to watch some local car racing. Now…Wizard’s thinking about racing the Shelby. It looks like a fun thing, not a dangerous one, so I’m okay with it. But I kind of doubt he will, I mean the Shelby isn’t allowed out of the garage if the weather isn’t perfect. Even light fog or a stray could keeps the car grounded where the elements can’t touch it. So, yeah, I doubt he’ll race it!
The rest of the day was normal stuff and gathering info to ask my web guru for a quote. I’m also trying to learn about 10 new things, and suffering from trying to do too many things at once. So all is normal here. I’ll learn in time.
Oh and I haven’t murdered any plants this week! That’s always a win.
How was your weekend?

Ooo, a new laptop! Fun! And Yay for a knowledgeable sales guy! It’s awesome that BLB loves working on your deck things. He’s earned those brownie cookies, for sure. Yay for having nice chats. Yay for Wizard getting to do what he loves, even if it’s doubtful he’ll actually race his Shelby. (ooo, Shelbys are pretty!) LOL, you big silly trying to do too many things. If you haven’t learned by now, you probably won’t, but that’s what makes you you. Lean into it. ;o)
The weekend here was rainy. Rain rain with more rain predicted. It was already raining this morning again. It stopped, but gah, enough already. I did get some yard work done between rains, so it’s all good. Pulling weeds yesterday, I found a few more trees to replant. Like my deck doesn’t already look like a midget forest. Have a great day! :hugs:

Great news on the laptop. Having someone that really knows their stuff is fantastic.
Happy to hear you have your hair set up. I hope you don’t drink too much at that saloon 🤣. Typos can be a pain in the butt and they can also be very funny.
BLB has made great progress on building your deck. It’s cute how our boys get fixated.
C came over Saturday morning to measure everything so he can quote replacing our deck. He even told me he plans on hiring his buddy to help with all the work. It’s going to cost me a freaking fortune. My deck is HUGE so I no matter what I deo I’m going to have to suck it up. It’s 20-25 feet wide (the center is wider than the edges) 50 feet long.
We got to see both C & C Saturday evening. The ring looks great on her and she’s so excited. You have to smile when you look at her.
It’s been raining super heavy here and it’s cool and humid. By the end of the week it will be hot and sunny 😂.
Have a great Monday!

Yay for the laptop. Hope you go back to get it from the good guy. Yay for hair stuffs. Yay for Youngest time along with DiL and MiL once-removed time. You have awesome family. Fun racing time for that half, good exercise rock hauling. LOL Good luck with the learning curve.
Like BE, we had weather. No siren test, no lunch. That was okay. We’re both still worn out from previous storm-interupted sleep and residual colds.
I got some writing done and more than just a small scene or two. I also got an email that gave me a fangirl moment and a friendship request that is cooler than cool in my book. I shored up one chapter and rewrote a second so both are stronger and I can now move on to the next. Yay. Once I get off the internet (after lunch) I’ll be doing that.
Have a great week, all!

B.E., yep, I’m leaning into too many tabs opened in my brain, LOL.
Wow I missed the news of all the rain in your area. Hope it stops soon and you get some well earned nice weather! Hopefully, though, the weeds were easier to pull from the wet ground. You must have a forest on your deck by now, and that’s one of my favorite looks!
Happy Monday!

Viki, LOL on Saloon
Fun Fact, I once went to a hair place that used that spelling. I can’t remember the full name though.
I’m betting you’ll have a better, more beautiful deck if C and his assistant build it. But yeah, that is big. I’m sure the price will be a shock, but at least you’ll get real deck you’ll know is well constructed and you can use it for years!
I love when our kids are happy like that! Weddings are such fun and happy times (when it’s the right partners like C & C).
That rain is spreading all over!
Hope your week is off to a great start.

Silver, thanks I’ll need the luck. It’s not that I can’t do it, it’s making myself focus and learn part
It was probably best that you both got some extra rest this weekend. You both really got hit hard by that virus.
Amazing!!! Hopefully the book is over it’s being difficult phase now. It sure sounds like you made some good progress. LOVE the fangirl moments like that! You deserve it. And it can be motivating too
Hope you get tons of work done today and all week!
