I had a brain glitch and set this to post on the right day, but at the wrong time. Sorry I’m late!
Happy Hump Day!
I have not gone back to reading the getting unstuck book But I am reading THE THINGS WE LEAVE UNFINISHED by Rebecca Yarros and really liking it. I started it on the camping trips, which was awesome. However, the room had crapping lighting so I couldn’t read at night. It’s a trade paperback, if it had been on my Kindle, I could read it. But these days, I really like reading in Trade paperback. Probably because on my Kindle, I watch YouTube.
It’s nice to be home and have a few calm-ish days. But am I getting any work done on my site I want to create? Um…in my defense, I’m lazy But seriously, it’s making me think about how much effort I want to consistently put into this. It’s good to set realistic goals for myself. So the question becomes, is it something I will have a lasting passion and energy for? I think so, but in manageable chunks. Figuring this out now can save me a lot of agony and worry later!
What are you reading, and how’s your midweek going?

I really enjoy Rebecca Yarros but I haven’t read that one yet. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Good thing to do camping – read in the great outdoors – beautiful.
You are right, setting your site up in small bits is probably the best way to go.
I just finished a couple political type books and have just picked up Beach Reads and Deadly Deeds by Allison Brennan.
Have a great afternoon!

Viki, I’m kind of giving myself this week to not do much, including my site. Other Real Life stuff is going on around us and sucking up emotional energy. But I do need to get focused
I didn’t see that book by Allison. I hope you enjoy it! Sounds like the perfect book for a break from political type books.
It’s a good afternoon but so hot here. Hope your evening is going well!

I normally don’t check on ‘net things after I shut down for the day but hey! Here you are today! Yay! I haven’t been able to get into Yarros. Not sure why. I’m in a weird reading space these days. I finished off Kristen Painters THE GARGOYLE BEGUILES THE BEAUTY, a book in her Nocturne Falls series. Fun, flirty, cozy paranormal romance. I enjoyed it. I’m currently listening to a new-to-me author, McKenzie Hunter. I got her box set of 4 books on sale. First book is DOUBLE SIDE. It’s a paranormal/UF. I’m still trying to figure out the world and the “rules” but I like the MC so far. She’s a “magic” in hiding after the majority of her brand of magical folks were wiped out. There are witches and mages, shifters, Fae, vampires, and necromancers mentioned so far. I’m not compelled to listen-listen-listen, but I do flip it one when I’m doing other things that don’t involve lots of brain power.
Glad you had a good trip and good luck with figuring out the new project.

Silver, well it was my fault for not setting the time correctly on my blog
I think we all have authors we just don’t find engaging for us.
Your new series sounds like a fun one. But whew, there’s a lot going on in that world! I can see why it’s taking you a little time to figure out the rules.
Thanks on our trip. It was good for us, and we both enjoyed seeing our son relax. Camping is his stress relief from his job (VP of a tech-related company).
Hope your week is going well!
