Wednesday Reading
I bought one book at Target and felt like a big spender. Then Wizard went to Barnes and Noble and bought three books. He beat me, LOL. He’s been reading a ton this summer because the heat is keeping him inside. For me, these last couple weeks of August are super busy.
Anyway, that single book I bought is MAGIC HOUR by Kirstin Hannah. I’m only about 30 pages in, but it looks interesting so far. I think I’ll like this book. And I finished listening to EVERY SUMMER AFTER. It was an okay romance, but it had a infidelity plot line that didn’t work for me. That’s a personal taste thing, I guess.

Yay for new books! As nasty as the heat is, it does have the upside of giving us the opportunity to read more. Yeah, infidelity plot lines are a turn-off for me, too. Bleh.
I’m between books at the moment, but next up is Primordial Threat by M.A. Rothman. It’s a SF I’ve been wanting to read for a while now. Fingers crossed it’s as good as I hope.

You’re not alone. I’m not a fan of infidelity plots either.
I planned on starting On Power by Mark Levin last night but fell asleep.
My foot is still an issue. My doc said if the swelling doesn’t come down in the next couple days to call her and she will send me to an orthopedic doc. It better come down but today it’s awful. I had to put on a real shoe to take the trash can out this morning and just up and down the drive destroyed all progress I had made 😟.
I see you that it’s still unbelievably hot out your way. Stay inside and read 😊.

Dropping in late. It’s been THAT kind of day. I’m still marathon listening to Thea Harrison’s Elder Races series, currently on NIGHT’S FALL, book 7. I may drink my dinner tonight. Just sayin’. Happy reading!

Viki, I’ve been struggling to stay awake while reading this week. I hate it. It’s not the books fault (in my case, anyway).
Man your foot sounds painful. I’m so sorry. It sounds like it’s going to be slower to heal that we like. Hope you can stay off it and rest it!
Yep, it’s hot here with heat warnings. But it’s August so I’m not surprised.
