It was a good and okay weekend.
Friday was great. We went out to visit our granddaughter Cigi and had a ton of fun with her. She’s really cruising around furniture and holding onto toys to walk around. She will be toddling on her own any time now! But as independent as she’s getting, she still likes to hug Grandma! That was a good day.
The rest of the weekend was fine. We spent it with my Mother in Law and all went well. It’s just tiring, but with all the siblings in the area helping out, it’s manageable. I’m playing more cards than I’ve played in years, LOL. My Mother in Law loves cards, although she only remembers one game now. What’s amazing is that math skills (in keeping score) are still sharp. I’m impressed. These days, her memory isn’t great, so it’s fun to celebrate the skills she can still do.
Maggie had fun as always but she is very happy to me home

Yay for Cigi Time!™️I love the “drunken sailor” stage of their development. Sooo cute! Double yay for wanting and giving grandma hugs. It’s hard with older parents. So glad Wiz has sibling willing to step up so everyone gets a break. Maggie is always a good girl!
We didn’t do much this weekend. It was hot. I was still fighting the new computer. It’s name is Beetlejuice. For reasons.
LG’s birthday was yesterday but we didn’t do anything. Uncle Fix-It’s b-day is the first week of Sept so for years now, we’ve celebrated them at the same time, in the middle. We’ll do something over Labor Day weekend once everyone gets their schedule figured out.
Weather is cool today and it’s raining. Should be this way for the week. Yay! Though I do have to get out. Toby is eating like he’s in the Nate’s Hotdog contest and I’m out of kibble. Jake will appreciate the break from rambunctious puppy.
No real plans for the week besides errands at various times and getting back to writing. Have a good one, all!

Baby hugs are the BEST! Isn’t it the cutest thing watching them toddle from one thing to another? I love it when they go PLOP on their butts for no reason.
I’m sorry you are having to go through all this with your MIL. It’s nice that her memory is sometimes there and she can enjoy herself playing cards. Good for you to play too. It’s actually a very good brain activity – a win win!
Yesterday I bought a house just down the road. I really just put in an offer. It’s for C & C to move into so that he’s closer for when he’s needed here. He found the place and pitched the idea to me and it was pretty sound. He’ll either sell or rent his place and slowly pay me back so that he and C will own it.
We’ll see how things go. I’m frightened about it right now because I have money issues. Never having any growing up, I’m afraid to spend.
It’s a nice cool day. The entire week is supposed to be in the 70’s. Sounds great to me 💗.

Silver, Cigi is definitely a bright spot right now

The change in weather is nice, but not fun to run errands in. It’s humid here

Viki, yes they are so sweet! Cigi and Turbo are both keeping us smiling while other stuff rains down on us.

But it’s important right now as it keeps Wizard’s mom happy.
Wow that’s some big news on the house!! Was the offer accepted so now you’re in escrow? I can see why you’re scared, but it sounds like you have a solid plan. Also I can relate to being afraid to spend, it’s only been in the last few years that we’ve spent more. But this sounds like it’s going to be a win – win for both you and C&C! Congrats!
