Happy Wednesday! I finished MAGIC HOUR by Kristen Hannah, and I really enjoyed that book. I don’t know what I’m reading next. I may just find a book hanging around here that I haven’t read yet.
While on the subject of books, I told my Daughter in Law (Cigi’s mom) that I really liked Colleen Hoover’s VERITY awhile back. I didn’t realized she’d get it and read it. Over the weekend, she said, “You didn’t tell me that VERITY was dark.” I laughed. I mean…she’s known me for many years now, is she really surprised???? But yeah, I didn’t mention that and I should have.
On the other hand, she loaned me a book that ripped my heart out and smashed in into a trillion shards, and I forgave her, so she’ll forgive me. Also, I loved that same book that destroyed my heart, so clearly my judgement is suspect 
What are you reading? And how much can I trust your judgement????

I HATE books that rip out hearts! But yeah, I’ve been known to read them.
I love that you and your DiL share books. I finished off Harrison’s Elder Races, for the most part. There’s a few novellas I might get back to, or a spin-off series. Right now, I’m listening to book 2 of JAK’s Fogg Lake series. Evidently, I’ve read the 1st two but not the 3rd. They are typical Arcane Society stories and fun. Lots of psychic stuff. ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT and then LIGHTNING IN A MIRROR to finish off the trilogy. After that, I’ll choose between the new JD Robb Eve Dallas or Laurenstein’s new Honey Badger book. Decisions, decisions!

I have Trey Gowdy’s THE COLOR OF DEATH. I was going to start it yesterday but I think I climbed into bed and all went dark 😆. I will attempt to open it again tonight.
Things are coming along on the buying of the house. It still looks like the 12th will be the transfer date. I think C & C are excited. Me, I’m nervous. Heck, it’s my money 😉.
My foot is still swollen and hurts. The boot has made my right hip go out so I’m a mess on both sides of my body ☹️. Other than that, all is good.

Silver, Sorry I’m late! Again! I was gone all day yesterday and part of today.
One of the reasons romance thrive is people love, and I think often need, a happy ending. It’s a mental break from life, and so I can totally understand your dislike for books that rip your heart out. And also…get sucked in once in a while
You’re doing a lot more reading than I am! But you are reminding me that I liked the Arcane Series books that I read. I should grab some for lighter reading!

Viki, wow you have a ton going on between the house and your foot. Doesn’t it always come all at once? I really hope your foot heals fast and fully. And your hip recovers.
The house is exciting, and it sure will be nice to have C and C closer! But all big purchases like that are scary to me. And that escrow is going fast! I hope everything goes smoothly and works out!
