Friday Five
TGIF!! Time to share five random things about out week. Here’s mine:
- Thursday night, the last storm blew in, bringing high winds and rain. All was fine here, but it was pretty dramatic and kept me and Maggie awake. Wizard slept through through it, LOL.
- We continue to love the new floors. Although they aren’t self cleaning, so there’s that
- The other day, the microwave refused to start and claimed I hadn’t put the food in. I swore at it, and then went into a mini tirade lecturing the microwave that it did not get to tell me how to do my job. Why doesn’t it just do it’s job?? Huh? Yeah, I was annoyed. Wizard was sitting at the bar laughing his butt off. Which, of course, made me laugh. It’s just a day in our life. But the microwave was wrong, just so you know. I’d put the food in, but it had forgotten that small fact (because some arbitrary amount of time passed — and it’s short term memory sucks…just saying). The microwave is lucky I need it to heat my coffee.
- Since walking has been hit or miss with weather, I’ve upped my yoga and added some very very light weights and I’m also doing standing crunches. It’s been a few weeks now and is going pretty well. So far, I haven’t triggered any neck or shoulder spasms. It’s been a quiet week so the little things are exciting, LOL
- It’s Superbowl this Sunday! We are going to Middle Son’s and I can’t wait! Maggie’s invited too, she is going to be so happy! Going in the car is always the best day ever for Maggie. Wizard and I are looking forward to seeing Middle and his wife, their dogs and just hanging out for a few hours.

1. I’m glad you and Maggie made it through the storm okay. High winds frighten many people. Having grown up on Lake Ontario, I love high winds. They actually help me sleep.
2. Self cleaning floors need to be invented. Come on Elon!
3. Oh no. Wizard must have had a good laugh. New microwaves are a pain in the butt. The old days when you could turn the thing on any time are gone :(.
4. Good job with the yoga and not hurting yourself.
5. Have a great time watching the game at middles with Maggie too!
1a. Another beautiful day here. It went up to 64F and the sun has been out most of the day.
2a. I finally got a copy of Iron Flame and am beginning it now.
3a. I think I have all the tax stuff except stocks.
4a. I am not doing anything for the Superbowl. Probably won’t even watch it. I am thinking of picking up a pizza from Aldi and having that Sunday night for dinner as my Superbowl shin ding.
5a. I really want some wine but hubs will want some too and that never bodes far anything good.

Viki, hope Elan hears your plea, LOL! Okay now for your five:
1) Hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful day! Its dreary and drizzly here, but should be better tomorrow.
I vote for you getting the pizza! We all deserve a night off.
2) Oh Good, I hope you like Iron Flame.
3) There’s nothing fun about taxes, but sounds like you’re almost ready.
4) Well at least there’s no work you need to do for Superbowl. Ours is very casual and easy with just middle and his wife. I love that
5)Hope you get a chance to enjoy some wine if you want it, but I get that you’ve had a lot of life adjustments that make it harder to indulge.
