Wednesday Stuff
Success!! I finally got an appointment with an UCI endocrine surgeon! It’s August 9th, and from what I can see she (the surgeon) is well-qualified and specializes in just what I need. All I need to do is get a CD of the thyroid ultrasound I had in April, which shouldn’t be hard. Wizard and I are feeling pretty good about this.
As long as we’re moving forward, I don’t want to dwell on the frustrations we went through to get here. In fact these two months of problems may have actually led me on a jagged path to better quality care. Life is funny like that sometimes.

Yes! Finally. I’m so happy this is finally getting going for you. It working out is a nice birthday present 😊.
Yesterday Anthem told me that I need to let things progress and quit calling. The doctor’s office should call when the authorization comes through. I’m ticked but will do as they asked.
I went for my blood work yesterday. My yearly is Aug 8th.

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 That is WONDERFUL news! I’m so happy that you “stumbled” onto just the right surgeon and she can get you in so quickly! (This sounds eerily similar to my experience though I didn’t have the months of frustration). Anyway, sending lots of good thoughts your way and I know Wiz is feeling less stressed now. I am dancing in my chair in happiness for you! And it’s after the baby shower so yay for that too.
Wednesday is Wednesday. It’s been an okay week so far. Progress on the WIP. We’re back under the heat dome. 🥵 Just hangin’ in there.

Well that was unnecessary for them to tell you to quit calling. You’re the advocate for your husband and have the right and obligation to keep things moving. Plus he’d already been approved for the MRI, but had a problem so this seems like overkill, but I get that it’s different doctors ordering it. Sigh. I’m sorry it’s so aggravating for you. I hope you hear by the end of the week (which is probably unlikely).

Silver, thanks. Wizard is very relieved. I think it was more important (as in urgent if not emergent) that you got in so quickly over me! Mine was okay to wait two months even if it was stressful:-)
I’m excited to hear you’re making more progress on the book! Not happy to hear you’re back under the heat dome. We’re getting back into the 100s in the next day or two as well. But the cooler temps were nice!
