Happy two days before Christmas!!! I hear Santa’s checking his list twice and making sure the Reindeers are resting up and loading up on their carbs to fly! So for the weekend:
Saturday was an amazing and way too much fun family party! I think we all had a great time. It was just sheerly a casual but good time with everyone in a good mood and really to play. Turbo got Dad and one of his Aunties to play soccer. All went great until Turbo took a hit right in the face. Everyone winced at the same time. But Turbo shook that off fast, and got back to playing something else. Later that evening, he finally sat still and began building a leg set that was about three years too old for him. Didn’t matter — his parents have taught him how to both read instructions and to figure out how things work by studying the pictures. It’s awesome to see how long and hard Turbo can concentrate and work a problem when he wants too.
When Baby Girl arrived and Youngest called Dibs from out front. I heard this from inside the house, and raced out to beat Youngest to the car I did politely hug her mom before grabbing her in case anyway thinks I’m rude, LOL. And her mom is awesome to be, happily sharing her daughter which I appreciate (as did Turbo’s mom). This baby is so chill, it’s mind-boggling. She’ll let us pass her around endlessly. She just loves watching everyone and is beginning to explore hands and mouth of course. Everything will go in her mouth if she can manage it. Turbo was (and is) a bundle of nonstop energy with an engineer’s mind. This baby is more laidback, but we’ll see….I feel like she’s absorbing and learning and we’ll see her personality really unfold.
We ate, opened gifts, had dessert and then a Nerf Gun Battle broke out with my sons. Sigh, I got shot like three times by supposedly friendly fire and no one was even sorry. Probably because he didn’t hurt me, but still! Somehow we managed to keep Baby Girl out of the line of fire and Turbo and Grandpa were playing Legos far away from the firefight. But my sons were leaping over furniture and rolling across the floors, cracking the rest of us up. Because we’re all high class like that…obviously.
So it was just a lovely afternoon and evening of family time.
Sunday we were tired, and I tried to give my body a recovery day (from a long super busy week plus a couple careful workout while guarding my ankle). But dang, my brain was drumming it’s fingers going, do you know what we could be getting done? Someone needs to drug my brain, really. I did manage to take nearly a full day to do lowkey things and sit around.
How was your weekend?
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas or whatever version of the holiday you celebrate! I may put a quick post up on Wednesday, but I want to make sure I wish you all a joyous time with your loved ones!

Thank you for sharing all of your family fun! I can just imagine it all and it gave me a Monday morning smile. =oD Yay for actually taking a break yesterday. Easier said than done, I know. :hugs:
The weekend here was quiet. The Starlink is up and running, so we’ve got that off our lists and it made relaxing way easier. Hubs made a turkey on Saturday (because cheap meat ain’t easy to find these days) and I did a pumpkin cheesecake yesterday. I’m making a loaded lasagna for Christmas (at Hubs’ request). Other than that, it’s coasting through the rest of this year for me.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Jenn, and the happiest of holidays to all the witches. I love you awesome witches.

Merry Christmas Eve’s Eve! NERF GUNS!!! How cool that your boys are still “boys!” Yay for Turbo being best of both–energetic and studious! Baby Girl is gonna be a thinker and will cause all kinds of mayhem with her schemes. So glad y’all had such a wonderful day! Yayay.
My weekend was slightly…YIKES! The good news is, all ordered presents have arrived. They aren’t wrapped but they’re here. I have to get out today to find some stocking stuffers and at least one more present for LG. I gave up trying to find the big tree and figuring out where to put it anyway. I did find the mantel decorations and stockings so that’s done. Then I snagged a mini tree left over from years and years ago, spent way too much time searching for a string of lights to put on it–still haven’t found the ornaments yet. (LG “organized” the garage… ), then way more time “fluffing” the little tree. It’s like 4 feet tall and really skinny but hey, it’s a Christmas tree to put presents under, fits on a side table, and will be easy to put away after Christmas.
I still have to make roll dough. I need to wrap/bag presents. Stocking stuffers. Did I mention that? And there’s something I need from Walmart but I can’t remember what it is so whatever. I need lettuce for the sandwiches but can source that at the local grocery.
Oh, and Iffy is insisting I keep up the tradition of a Christmas story for the blog. 🤦🏼♀️ And Hannah is nagging me like crazy because she found this…thing…and insists she needs to use it and…so…yeah…I have about 400 words written. I suspect there will be more in time for a Christmas Day blog post. *this is me banging my head on the keyboard*
Okay. One more cup of coffee and then I’ll get dressed and face the outside world. I can do this! *wanders off looking for pompoms to shake* Oh, yeah, Merry Christmas! See you after the holidays! 🎄🎅🏼⭐🎄

Merry Christmas EVE EVE!
WOW! Your party sounds like a blast. So much activity and fun. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I must point out that no one would call you rude even if you didn’t get the quick DIL hug in. See, you’re Grandma and you have “rights 😉💗.”
The friendly fire hits got me laughing. When Harrison is here, we have some nerf guns too and I often get hit. Never thought of them as “friendly” fire. They seem very deliberate.
I think I have everything for Christmas brunch and A’s gift arrived Saturday late afternoon. So, all is good here.
Had many bad times with hubs over the weekend but today is going okay so far.
C and C are going to come over at 8:15 Wednesday morning and take hubs to church. They should be home just as A and A show up and the food is coming out of the oven.
I pray that you and your family, B.E. and her family, and Silver and her family all have a Blessed Christmas!

B.E, thanks, it was a lot of family fun One good thing about getting older — my body demands more rest between my bouts of non-stop stuff, and I “try” to listen. Mainly because if I don’t, I get more pain, and I am not a fan of pain
Well not exactly coasting with the baking and cooking! I bet that pumpkin cheesecake is delicious! And I agree on turkey, cheap and I also really like turkey. That loaded lasagna is a lot of work, but worth it!
Merry Christmas to you, hubs and the kitties!

Silver, NERF guns are a blast I actually love seeing the boys throw off the stress from their jobs and have pure fun. Next time, though, us girls are getting the guns…just saying!
YIKES describes your weekend, today and tomorrow as you get ready!! I got tired reading all that. You need more coffee for sure!
I get you (or Iffy) wants to write the traditional Christmas story for the blog, but there’s only one of you and a ton to do so don’t overwork and overstress yourself. You could always do a New Years story if needed.
Wishing you, LG, Jake, Loki and Pete, and all the family, a Merry Christmas!

Viki, I don’t even apologize, I adore Baby Girl as much as I adore Turbo. And I’m blessed with daughters in law who share. It’s so fun. Unfortunately, Uncle youngest is a thief and will “steal” the baby from me any chance he gets
LOL on deliberate. Oh yeah, I’ve been purposely shot (and thrown in the pool) but this time, they were really targeting one another. I just got in the way, LOL.
Yay for everything finally showing up and getting all the organizing for the meal done. It’s a lot! But it feels good to think we might just have it all in the house, at least.
I’m sorry, dealing with the issues from hubs condition is hard. Big hugs on that.
Wow you really have the timing down for Christmas day! I’m impressed. I could not rely of some of mine to follow the schedule with any degree of accuracy, LOL. But you have great kids!
I really hope you and all your family have a safe and Very Happy Christmas!
