If a “good weekend” consists of working our butts off, then we nailed it! We have the house about 90% restored. All we have left is to hang pictures, and sort through boxes of old books and pictures. Overall we are super pleased to get the two projects that required so much moving stuff around behind us!
Sunday morning we went out to breakfast which was a nice break. Later in the day, we bought some new luggage. We bought our old luggage a couple decades ago, so it was the roller-type with two wheels. The two new pieces are lightweight, inexpensive spinner bags (the four wheel type that turns 360 degrees). It’ll make travel to Hawaii in May easier for us.
So it was a productive weekend. Now I can focus on Wizard’s birthday in a couple weeks 
Both Wizard and Oldest have “big” birthdays in April, roughly two weeks apart.

Sounds like you had a very productive weekend 😊. It must feel great getting the house back in order.
That’s really nice that you went out for breakfast. It can be so relaxing. Going shopping later was a win too. It appears that it was time for new luggage and since you’re going on that nice long trip to Hawaii, you made a great buy.
Oh, you have me wondering now what type of cake Wizard and Eldest are each going to want. Their birthdays being two weeks apart is nice. Let’s you celebrate each on their own. C and Hubs are only a day apart and at Mother’s Day too, so the three generally get lumped together.
My weekend was okay. We went out to the Hungarian place and had a nice time. Food was good and the desserts were too yummy.
Today has been a beautiful sunny day. The trees are starting to bud. Won’t be long now before the leaves are busting out.

Viki, we are happy to get most of the work done, but tired. That’s not unexpected, LOL.
I think Wizard wants a marble cake (chocolate and vanilla). He’s holding back because he doesn’t want me doing too much. But I’m working on finding out what kind of filling he’d like to go with it. I think he’ll be more cooperative in the next few days. I’m going to keep his cake simple. For oldest, we’re all going out to dinner, so I’m not in charge of the cake.
Oh wow, the two birthdays and Mother’s Day are lumped together! It makes it harder to celebrate each thing and person. You’re a champion for managing it all!
I’m really glad the Hungarian restaurant worked out and you all enjoyed it! Hope hubs did too. I know you were a little concerned.
