Hi guys, it’s me, Maggie. I am sad to say that my mom is mean. Like, the meanest! She gave me a bath. Outside!! In the 100 degree heat!
And then she tried to make me pose for a picture!
After I showed her that I absolutely would NOT look at her or the camera, she did this! And she was laughing, probably even cackling like a witch! 
Sigh…I’ll probably forgive her because she gave me a treat with peanut butter on it. Also she said I have to tell you she’d been doing tons of cleaning before that photo — I don’t know she thought you all needed to know that. She’s so vain. But anyhow…back to me. Can you believe what I have to put up with???? Is it even worth treats smothered with peanut?

Mom also says, Happy Wednesday! And she hopes everyone is safe from Milton (I don’t know who Milton is but I don’t think I like him).

Good Morning, Maggie! I’m sorry you had to go through all that, but you’re such a pretty pup that you deserve to get clean and show everyone how amazing you look. Plus, peanut butter treats are kinda awesome. I bet you’re better with your treats than my kitty, Sawyer. He bats them around before he eats them and even gets them lost under the furniture and down the vents. Silly cat. His brother, Finn, is like you and eats his treats like a civilized person.
I’m also hoping everyone stays safe from Milton. It looks like a nasty monster out there in the Gulf.

Pssst Maggie, it’s me, Jake. Don’t tell but even pills are better with peanut butter. My mom gives me outside baths too cuz I’m too big to get in the tub. I guess water is okay. I mean I’m half water dog but because I am, water tends to roll off my fur so it takes a loooooong time for my baths. As soon as I’m free, I go roll in the sand in the backyard. I tell Mom it’s to help my fur dry. But…I always wait until I get my salmon stick for being a good boy during my shower because Mom says “Bad dog,” when I roll in the dirt.
Mom and Dad talk about Milton too. I’ll bite him if he comes to my house because I hav’ta protect Mom!
Also, Moms laugh at the weirdest stuff. Tell your mom that she looks fine. She’s at least wearing real clothes. My mom is still in her pjs. *doggie eye roll*

Hi Maggie – I’m sorry your mom gave you a bath outside where you had no privacy. She was mostly very concerned about you. With all the dry air and heat washing that the dirt away would be better for your skin and fur. Mom’s are always thinking of what is best for our kids. She wasn’t trying to be mean.
Your mom also wants to show off how beautiful you are. Yes, it does look like she was very happy getting that photo of you. I think the treat with peanut butter sounds SO good.
Milton is a huge meanie. It would be nice if he just faded away.

Sawyer does sound like a silly cat. I always eat my treats right away! Now Finn sounds like a smart cat. Oh the other hand, I will play with crickets like that because I want them to keep jumping so I guess I can see why Sawyer plays with treats.
Milton doesn’t sound very nice at all. I hope all my people and animal friends get to safety.

Hi Jake, I won’t tell! I love peanut butter! But our people don’t need to know all our secrets.
This was my first outside bath, and I will admit to you, it was better than the tub. You must be really big though, I fit in the tub pretty well, it’s just kind of scary in there.
You’re smart to get your salmon stick first before your mom starts saying things like “bad dog.”
I think it’s a good idea to bite Milton. I could maybe distract him with my cool (mom says silly) dance moves while you sneak up and bite him really hard.
Moms really do worry about silly stuff. I tell mom how she looks isn’t as important as how many treats she gives me
Tell your mom that too!

Viki, I know you’re probably right but I still gave mom big sad puppy eyes so she’d feel bad and give me extra treats. But I did feel good being clean once she put my collar back on me. I don’t like having it off.
Teats with peanut butter are the yummyist! And it takes a long time to finish all the peanut butter.
I hope Milton fades away or maybe just gets tired and falls asleep. He’s making too many people anxious.
I’ll tell mom and Wizard, and you have a good day too! And give your kitty extra treats too, okay?
