It was a good weekend, and I like those. However I think my energy is rude for being lazy and having trouble keeping up with my life Seriously, my energy is probably normal for where I am after a couple heath things, it’s my goals that are a bit aggressive most days. So that’s on me.
Saturday, we went to the engagement party. It’s always nice to see family! Wizard’s mom and her husband came and that’s very rare. They are mid nineties, but I gotta say that physically, Wizard’s mom is a marvel. She moves slower but still moving quite well. She’s forgetful now, but she’s always been social, and she kept wandering off talking to random people and panicking the rest of us when we thought we lost her. But she was fine, just mingling. The party was great. We left after a couple hours to take Wizard’s mom home and that honestly worked out well for us. My niece is actually getting married in January in a location out of the country so this was a nice event for those of us who can’t go. My niece is also currently living in Australia practicing law. She and her hubby (also a lawyer) will be moving back to the states in a few months.
Going the the engagement party meant I missed out on Legoland with Turbo. I can’t decide if I’m sad about that or I got lucky! But I get to spend time with him on a weekend trip in a couple weeks, so it’s all good.
Sunday, Wizard went racing and I did roughly 100 things before leaving at 11 to help with my granddaughter while her parents unpacked from camping and gave the dogs a bath. The trip went well for them. So my granddaughter is 7 weeks today and already been camping! Well more like glamping since they have a huge and very well equipped 5th wheel. Youngest son stayed a night at the campsite and also hogged, um I mean helped, with the baby. He even got up early and fed her so mom and dad could pack up to leave. But I did hear stories about him hogging her
I had a great time with the baby, and her parents. They were mostly busy. Man, that baby was was so tiny at birth is growing daily. It’s normal but a marvel to watch. And my daughter in law is fine with my coming over Tuesday between my 10 am and 2:45 pm appointment. The two different locations I have appointments in are reasonably close to her and makes my life easier. I appreciate that! And I’m getting extra time in with the baby as I’m taking the tracer pill at the later appointment, and will avoid both grandkids until after weekend as a precaution.
This will be a crazy week, so Wednesday’s post may be late. I can’t even predict, LOL. But it’s almost done and I’m very happy about that.
How was your weekend?

Yeah, as you keep reminding me, the body takes it’s own sweet time to reestablish those darn energy levels! Yay for family parties and I love that Mom Wiz is a social butterfly. She’d tell y’all that SHE knew where she was so stop worrying. I’d be torn on the Legoland too, but probably come down on the side of “Glad y’all had fun! Maybe next time…” Also, fun trip coming up that won’t be so…energetic. LOL Wow! Baby Girl is going to a pioneer. And Youngest is too cute. Does he realize that they’re next? *waggles brows* Yay for Grandma time with her though and I know The Middles appreciate all the family help. Don’t worry about anything but taking care of you until you get through this round of med stuffs!
There was a weekend?
I had every intention of getting a newsletter out but instead did a fairly intensive overhaul of my website. All the “coding” changes WordPress has made did not make things easier. It took me two days to fumble my way through and I still have one more widget to fix but I’ve certain cleaned up the right-hand column, added a page for the mafia books, updated buy links and did a TON of graphics to clean up things. I finally got smart and did those graphics on BookBrush so the on-going series will be easy to update.
And that’s literally what I did all weekend. I did tune into some college football–and tuned out almost as fast. I did catch the squirrel making a “touchdown” during OU/Ole Miss game. That was the highlight.
Stormy’s under the weather today so he’s here on the couch. I’ll try to focus on marketing and finishing up the website rehab and getting the newsletter out for the next couple of days. We’ll see how that goes.
Have a great week, all!

That’s so sweeet of Wizard’s mom and husband to go to the shower. I was picturing her being a social butterfly and wondering why you all were following her around .
Going to the shower sounds like a great time and one that can’t be replicated. You can always go to Legoland another time. You were probably smart not to go anyway. You would have played like crazy and worn yourself out.
Baby time sounds like so much fun. The little one has already been on an adventure even if she was sleeping in a fifth wheel. She still went camping at 7 weeks🥰.
The weekend was nothing special for me. Today was a hassle with hubs and going to the neurologist. He was fighting me tooth and nail. Thank heaven A showed up to take us and hubs mellowed a bit.
The results are moderate Alzheimer’s. She’s putting him on a memory med specifically for Alzheimer’s and a sleeping pill.
As you would guess, I get to the pharmacy and they don’t have any of his meds or even milk 🤬. It’s already going to be a struggle to get him to take the pills. Delaying things will not help.
I have to “just breathe.”
I’ll be keeping you in my prayers tomorrow that all goes well. It’s sweet that you get to spend more time with the peanut between appointments 💗.
Have a great afternoon!

Silver, I bought your book yesterday! I’m excited to read it after I finish the Netflix book I’m reading now.
And yes, I should listen to the wise advice you were given, LOL. Wiz’s mom truly was a social butterfly and it was fun to see it coming out in her again. My oldest is just like her — he can talk to anybody anywhere. Yeah I think the pics from Legoland were enough I’m more of a zoo or Sea World grandma. And the baby is so much fun! Honestly, though, her parents are rock stars for managing this trip with an infant and two big dogs — and they looked sane when they got home! I’m impressed!
Just the thought of coding all weekend gave me a headache. But you did it and got the work done! It’s a good use of your time and will make things work better. You will get the newsletter out soon enough.
That would be some highlight!
Poor Stormy! I hope he feels better soon. And I’m glad he has your house to go to which likely feels like a second home to him. We need a special kind of comfort when we’re sick — parents and grandparents are the best!
You have a busy week, but I know you’ll get it all done!

Viki, Wizard’s mom was funny, but she does have memory issues and can get confused but it was all fine. It’s great to see her enjoying herself. They don’t get out a lot these days.
I really didn’t miss Legoland too much
It’s fun to tell people they took a 7 week old camping — then I admit they had a 5th wheel and tons of experience, they had it all covered and lots of people to help. My daughter in law even thought ahead enough to have me meet them when they got home to watch her while they got everything done. They’re organized.
Nothing special weekend also means nothing bad happened too. But so sorry for the hassle today trying to get hubs to the doctor. The meds may help (helps my mother in law but everyone diagnoses and situation is different — her issues is age related). Btu dang on the pharmacy not having the meds! I know they can’t have every single one on hand, but it’s harder for you to get out and do this stuff, plus I can see why you want to start the meds ASAP. I hope he’ll cooperate in taking the pill.
I’m so glad A is helping out. But even with that, this is a lot on you. I can see where it might feel overwhelming at times. I don’t know what the answers are, but I feel for you.
I hope your week gets easier and rolls into a good week!
