Monday Roundup!

How many of you watched the Oscars? I’m writing this blog right before the Ocsars, but planned to watch them.

So question: Do you dress for the Oscars? I plan to begin the evening in jeans and a long sleeved Tee, then change into sleep shorts, a tank and the all import wrap–my afghan. What about you?

My weekend was great! Wizard took Friday off and we went on a spending spree.  For us, that means going out and finally buying the two TV’s that we’ve been planning to buy for about three years.  Oh! And my latte maker broke a couple weeks ago.  Wizard got annoyed with my hemming and hawing about not really needing it, so he went out and bought me a new one.

Don’t laugh, but I think having my beloved latte maker helped me finally scale the wall I’ve been struggling with in my writing!

Even more exciting, I got one copy of NIGHT MAGIC Fed Exed so I could see it.  Its’ very pretty! I meant to take a picture but didn’t get around to it.

So tell me about your weekend.

Yesterday I spent the day in my custom fitted blue sweat pants and grey U of Mich sweatshirt (by Versace, of course). But I didn’t watch the Oscars. Instead we caught a marathon of ‘I Shouldn’t Be Alive’, followed by a marathon of ’48 Hours: Hard Evidence’ – during which I rewrote the same four paragraphs a half dozen times and crocheted. Excitement abounds at the Sanderson household, lemme tell ya. ;o)

I think I need a latte maker. I need something to help me scale my writing wall. I’m glad you got to the top of yours. =o)

I didnt really do a lot this weekend to be honest, just had a lazy weekend in doors, i did some of my drawings and clothes designs, and mostly watched films, i know im boring but it doesnt hurt every so often lol.

I dont tend to watch the Oscars, i watch the National TV Awards and The Baftas more than any, and normally my dress code for that is snuggles in my Twilight blanket, in my pjs, supplied with lots of chocolate and goodies and a glass of wine or something like that :D

Didn’t watch the Oscars, I was reading Shanna by Kathleen Woodiwiss. Yeah, I’ve read it a dozen times, but Ruark never gets old. :)

And I re-arranged my office. It’s fresh, and I’m hoping I won’t mind going in there more. Before I kinda avoided the whole room. Being ill has left me feeling like I’d been run over by something and re-created into someone different. But I keep pushing!!

New tv’s and latte makers. You DID have an awesome weekend! Sometimes you just have to splurge on yourself. :D So glad you got over that wall.

There was a weekend? *blinkblink* I fought with both of my email providers, put together the matching bookcase to my new office ensemble, designed by that hot new designer Realspace Soho with Office Depot, and then had time to get into my designer sleep pants by Tarjay and ruffled tank from that wonderful fashion maven, Wally World.

I thought James Franco was smokin’. What he was smokin’, I’m not sure. A lot of the dresses left me with a WTF? look. My two favorite spots: the “This Year’s Musicals” video spoof, and Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law presenting. But the rest of the show? *YAWN*

WooHoo on new TVs and latte maker! We all have our priorties, right? And *WHEW* on climbing that wall! (I still owe you an email now that I think my “troubles” are fixed. :-P )

B.E., those custom sweats are devine!

I feel for you on rewriting the same paragraphs–I’ve spend a lot of time doing exactly that.

And hey, the latte maker (it’s actually a cappuccino maker, but I just use it for non fat latte) is a big help. I loved my first one because my son got it for me,then I got addicted to the actual lattes.

Zoe, sounds like a talent filled weekend! I can’t draw so I really admire people who can!

I decided to watch the Oscars this year as one of my attempts join in “real life.” Usually I read while Wizard has the award shows on.

Wine and chocolate makes a perfect evening!

Ashlynn, do you have any idea what an inspiration you are? You’ve doing amazing!

Rearranging your office is a good idea. I try to change things up when I feel stuck in my writing. The main thing is to not put so much pressure on yourself that you lose the join in writing.

Silver! We have the same designers! Who knew?

The show was uneventful. I loved the young blonde’s dress Jennifer Somethihng and Sandra Bullocks.

James Franco looked like he didn’t want to be there. Bored or something.

Is your office done now? And so sorry for the email troubles, I hate that!
