It was a pretty good weekend. On Saturday, Wizard and I went to oldest son’s house to celebrate his birthday. We won’t talk about how old he is, because frankly, I think he’s being rude. He doesn’t seem to understand that his getting older makes me older.
Rude.
But the day involved chocolate cake and playing with Bailey Dog! My youngest son got Bailey to stand up on his hind legs and walk backwards. So funny! Wish I’d had a camera!
Sunday, I had to run to the store to exchange something, AND I found a pair of workout pants that made me look thinner! Seriously! SCORE! Now if only I could find a magic swim suit that made me look 30 pounds thinner.
And if I’m not writing, why did I just spent nearly two hours working on a Murder She Writes blog? I wish I had two more hours to make it a good blog…but I ran out of time, darn it. But still…I haven’t opened a file for an actual book! (That’s three days, Wizard! Three days of no book writing!)
How was your weekend?

Ack. I hate it when my kid gets older. I don’t feel old enough to have a kid getting ready for college. Seriously, she’s not allowed to be nearly eighteen because that would mean I’m approaching 41. And that just can’t happen. Bleh.
Way to go on the skinny pants. I found a top that had people asking if I lost weight. I need to wear that one more often.
I read a lot this weekend. Night Magic was wicked awesome, btw. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year. Gimme more. I also finished the genealogy project (for now – does one ever really finish tracing family history?) and got some writing done. =o)

So glad you’re feeling better, Jen. Sometimes I think we all just have to take a break. For our sanity. It’s a good thing.
Anything that makes us look slimmer is a winner. I’m all for that one!!
My weekend was busy. Had a garage sale. Wow they are a lot of work. Def not doing that again. Sheesh. But the kids were happy. Drummergurl got mall money, and Wildman got xbox game money. I just wondered where they were at 6am when I got up…they were sleeping. And I kept wondering why they made more money than me!?
Can I be a kid again????

B.E., I’m a few years older than you, darn it. This is so not fair. But your comments on NIGHT MAGIC make me feel much better!
Did you find any surprises in your family? Just curious!

Ashlynn, I haven’t done a garage sales in YEARS, but I know what you mean! Really hard work! But it sounds like the kids made out!
I am feeling better. I’m trying not to worry so much about juggling everything.
Being a kid again would be fun! Except…I don’t think we could drink appletinis while ogling hunks…

My weekend was fairly relaxing, though I did work Friday. It actually wasn’t bad though. Saturday I was supposed to go out with a friend to watch the Red Wings game. She ended up cancelling on me cuz she had to babysit her nephew. So I watched at home instead. They won 4-3. Yea 14 more wins to Lord Stanley. Go Wings!! Other than that I didn’t do much but read.
Jen, glad you liked the pics I sent you. You’ll have to share him with the rest of the witches some day

My weekend was good. Daughter & I spent Saturday shopping and having lunch with my mom. We had an excellent time. Sat nite hubby went to the ASU baseball game. I’ll never understand his love of college sports. *gag*
My kids keep getting older too. I’ve asked them to stop but they just don’t listen. Definitely RUDE!!!
Ash, you are a brave woman to host a garage sale. I think you deserve a cut of the kid’s money.

I’ll be 49 in August and still can’t believe I have such OLD sons ;).
My weekend was good. On Sat. I met up with my girlfriend whom I hadn’t seen in over a year even though we only live 45 minutes away from each other. We had a nice lunch and then went malling – no buying. Sun. went to Kohl’s and bought a new dress for my son college graduation. Figured I was due for something new.
Glad you had a good weekend. I’m an exercise freak. Voice of encouragement – having found those great workout pants is a VERY good thing. They will help you achieve your goal.

Heh. I found a guy in the 1700s who was married three times. A grandson from his first marriage married a granddaughter from his second marriage. Yup, I’m inbred. LOL

Viki, uhh, we’re the same age. Amazing! And I know I shouldn’t say my age
I work out as I can around my RA, but I eat way too much crap. That’s my problem.
Of course you had to have a new dress for your son’s graduation!

B.E., LOL!!! I bet I’d find something like that in my ancestors too. I figure I might be better off not knowing…

I was old when The Only was born. There’s no hope for me. LOL
It was a good weekend. Chapter meeting with a terrific speaker. And on Sunday, I made a breakthrough on the current WIP. Since then, I’ve finalized the shift in plot and written close to 5000 words, which is about 4500 more than I wrote all of last week!
Sorry to be late. Was hiding under my rock from Monday.

Silver, you’re not old! Stop that!
Wow you must have made a pretty significant break through to get that much writing done! Keep going!
